Is LSU the only college football program where its former assistant coaches express their love for the football program that just released them?
No.
Happens all the time.
I think some farewells are 100% genuine but usually they say pretty much the same thing...
"I'd like to thank all the individuals who made this special place feel like home to me and my family. I will never forget this special group of guys. You will always have a special place in our hearts."

I think many (most?) coaches leave by saying good things, even if they don't mean it. It certainly makes them a more attractive hire by another college.
The worst parting?
When Bo Pelini was fired by Nebraska, he held a meeting with all his players. One of the players recorded the meeting on his phone.
What a sad, angry, vulgar, profanity-laced going-away speech, blaming anyone and everyone for his firing. Most Nebraskans were split on the firing until they heard that speech.

Pelini was O’s worse hire. He had great coaches and they were gone, he was gone!

How many times must this be stated. When O changed defenses, he changed coaching. What was Aranda supposed to do?

If Bo pelini can worm his way back to a job I’m more than happy with Aranda and baker leaving that door open.

Life lesson the younger generation needs to hear.

Coach O didn't destroy our culture at LSU, he just disrespected it.
Thank you
There has been a narrative around here that the football culture at LSU has been toxic, which I do not buy.
A toxic culture doesn’t attract a coach like BK.
