Jimbo vs. Orgeron debate aside, that article makes Jimbo look like a fricking slimebag and a shitty leader. Basically looks like he knowingly destroyed the culture at FSU in order to squeeze out a few extra wins, then jumped ship when he saw the house of cards falling.

I wanted Jimbo as much as anybody in 2015, but this objectively makes me really happy that it didn’t turn out like that.

I also never thought A&M would have a Heisman winner in the modern era and they did that. Florida State had 1 ten win season since 2000 before he took over. I'm sure people were saying he'd never win one there too.

you don’t think we laugh at you dickheads Who bring up the he beat us argument! Y’all act like there wast a bunch of iffy calls to get a one point win in a seven overtime game. We laugh at you people Who cannot get over the fact that O is our coach. Y’all’s hatred For O blind you to the real facts that after the 2011 championship game LSU went on a decline, For goodness sake’s we rushed The field when we beat Ole Miss. Florida State and Jimbo Fisher went on a decline after they won the national championship. Fishers last year they had to count a win over a Division III school just to be bowl eligible, then they only win 5 games last year with fishers players in the ACC! Florida State should roll out of bed and beat half the ACC teams still sleeping.

It’s more like 60-70% but that would require honesty and not the ridiculous exaggeration.

Don't forget also requires a basic comprehension of fundamental math concepts, too.

These people, eh?

I never thought Jimbo was worth the insane amount of money he demanded. ATM has money to spare, heres hoping they regret spending it on Jimbo

Orgeron was an ok hire at a cheap price, if that is what you were looking for.
Fisher was a a very good hire for a ridiculously high price tag, if that is what you are willing to do.
Any comparison has to take that into account.
The Orgeron is doing better than many expected, and Fisher is doing about what many expected.
Sometimes you get what you pay for.....

It's no question jimbo ran that program into the ground, and it's also no question that the only reason he ever won a natty at fsu is bc of Jameis winston...a player who fsu and jimbo had to protect at all costs to keep on the field in order to win a title. Then, almost lost to auburn in the natty in Pasadena. Lol, jimbo is overhyped and will not accomplish jack shite at tamu. He's extremely overpaid for what caliber of a coach he is. Hell, he got given a win vs O last season and will get the shite kicked out of him this year in br. Screw jimbo.

Wait.... are you one of those who forgot that LSU had a chance in regulation to win that game but could not do it?????? The refs did NOT cost LSU that game.... FACT..... but in all fairness. I would rather O than Jimbo.....

Even national media doesn't count that TAm LSU game as a loss?. It was a rigged deal an embarrassment to the refs who weren't there. How many time has the yellow line not been right? It was intercepted with 16 second left and our ball...NEVER MIND WE WILL SKULL DRAG THEM THIS YEAR, BOOK IT.

Jimbo makes Jimbo look like a fricking slimebag.

Jimbo talking shite to a 12 year old girl knowing she can't get to him. He said "Hold me back". Ha Ha Ha Ha

Jimbo after a very short time at A&M:
SI Article - Former Texas A&M linebacker Santino Marchiol has accused coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff of violating NCAA rules

"Marchiol also said that linebackers coach Bradley Dale Peveto pulled him into a bathroom after a spring game to hand him $300 to host a prospect."

Clempson? He was 14-10 in the ACC his last three seasons.

His last season he was 3-5 and had been run down, passed and lost to NC State, Miami, Louisville, Boston College (35-3) and Clempson (31-14).

FSU wasn't even bowl eligible when he hauled arse with quickness. FSU fans never shed a tear.

I remember the time the GREAT OFFENSIVE GURU put up an AMAZING THREE points against Boston College. The juggernaut Boston College that finished the season 7-6.

Jimbo sure knows his offense. That was an amazing display of how to gain 10 first downs and 213 total yards of offense against a team that barely finishes with a winning record. Coaches will be studying the game film from that game for years to learn from the GREAT JIMBO.

I agree.

When he put up 40 points on Eddy O's Ole Miss squad, I knew right then and there he was an offensive mastermind we'd be talking about for years to come.

Herman has Texas back at contender status (at least to the media) and has been recruiting well. Slow year this year but will pick up.

Fisher brought in a killer class his first year at ATM and beat LSU for their first time in a very long time. Both are very good coaches and would have been great hires.

Having said all that, I was salty about the O hire but he seems to be doing OK. No need for the constant “remember X, Y, and Z coach” threads.

Did that Ole Miss squad have a lot more talent than Jimbo too?

Boston College is known to be the most talented team in the ACC. What Jimbo did in that game - gaining 200 yards of offense, 10 first downs and 3 points was truly an amazing feat.

It was like Jimbo's 1-AA Florida State team almost upset a very good 1-A Boston College who was 7-6. Nobody can ever knock Jimbo for his offense.

Actually it’s either Clemson or Florida State or maybe Miami.

Ruh Roh, maybe Jimbo's astounding 3 points against BC wasn't that impressive then?
