I get what you are saying but you do realize Jay started Reaves 2 games ago against UCLA right?
Would not be surprising at all to see Reaves start Saturday and Braswell used for late game defense. Also would not be surprised if Jay just rides with Braswell.

He's a dead bat but usually a lineup has someone in it for that. Hoping he figures it out and gets a clutch hit for us in CWS. All he needs is a slump buster. Dickinson has been struggling a bit as well his bat is too good to be hitting bloopers. He has past few hits were basically bloopers and been in a bit of a mini-slump these past few weeks. Need the entire lineup to bring the bats CC can swing.

Braswell is due at some point lol. This reminds me of Jordan Thompson’s slump in 2023

I think it's more important that Milam, Curiel and Jones seem to be out of their slumps. Braswell's weak bat is frustrating--we know he's not a great hitter. But his defense is worth the tradeoff.

Reaves will have his time next year.
I dont necessarily want Braswell not to hit, I just want him to stop popping out. He did have some better swings during the tournament though. He hit some shots they were just right at people.
I'm hoping he can put it together, when it matters the most, to end out his last season in college.

We know Braswell can hit the long ball. He has 2 dingers this season. Just needs to make contact. Or maybe he needs contacts.

He went right back to looking lost again last night. That was the worse bunt I’ve seen in a while. And the K’s weren’t even close.

If Dickinson can get back to his earlier season form I'd be pretty happy with the lineup even with Braswell in. People hammering his bad bunt and it was bad, but usually in those situations Braswell is actually good at bunting.

Maybe. But he's 0 for his last 12 and only has 1 hit in his last 24 ABs. And that's only really batting in favorable matchups.

Braswell is batting like.030 over his last 30+ at bats. You are wrong. Personally, I would move Dickinson to third (he played there a times early in the season0 and Pearson at 2nd.

I’m kind of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it mentality kinda guy, especially since he is exceptional in the infield.
Saying that he has regressed recently offensively and he is a huge liability at the plate currently.
I mean people are walking guys now because they know he is almost an auto strikeout.
He effectively killed the late inning lead off double with a pop up bunt.
Can NOT do that at this level or on this stage.
Great Teammate and Defensive player but not sure what to do with him in this Final series. It’s also not like Reaves is Babe Ruth either so there’s that.
In Jay we Trust so I’m good with whatever he decides, I think he has earned it.

Another thing to consider is the wind situation for the weekend. Will not be advantageous for hitters.

Oh my bad. Hadnt seen that. I saw he played 2nd and 1st for KSU, but no 3rd.
