Just because he doesn't owe us one doesn't mean he shouldn't give us one. I'm sure you're* not smart enough to figure that out by yourself, so there you are.

*I was tempted to use "your", but I thought against it, because you wouldn't get the irony.

I don't like the fact that Lee isn't playing. Especially the way JJ started the last two games.

Saturday I was begging for JLee to go it the game.

But I know this, adn it's obvious....

THERE IS A REASON LEE IS NOT PLAYING AND MILES IS NOT GOING TO TELL US. HE NEVER THROWS HIS PLAYERS UNDER THE BUS.

Could be academics. Could be he's been late to team meetings or any number of things.

First of all, I don't care if T-Bob is the QB if we are winning.

But you can't be academically ineligible during the semester. I seems that at around mid-terms Miles became aware that Lee was in serious danger of failing out and not being eligible for the bowl game. He could not afford for the team to be dependant on his play, so Lee hasn't gotten meaningful snaps since then.

Also, because it is an academic issue, Miles can't talk about it. That is a federal law, not an NCAA rule.

He doesnt owe me shite.
However as customer (and thats what we are) we buy into this shite with our time, energy and most importantly MONEY have a right to ask.

(Barring circumstances NONE OF US know about)I think its a shitty fricking thing how JL is been treated concerning his playing time since the alabama game.

Stop for one fricking second, put yourself in JL's shoes and ask yourself would be skippiddy dodahing down the road on the sidelines with a fricking smile on your face.
Kid has done NOTHING other whats been asked of him and been the ultimate team player for 4 years.
Its one thing if JJ was playing at a different level, but theres not one person that breathes that can trruthfully say that.

Hanagriff said it best ... JJ is LM's guy and thats the bottom line.
Regardless how much myself or any other LSU fan disagrees thats the way it is and thats why Im estatic about the end being near.
I dont want ANY player on this team to the JL treatment... espec when they didnt do anything to warrent it.

I can see both sides of the fence. Yes, CLM does get paid to coach football, which he has done very well this season... I think he is a hell of a man and is a great coach. Maybe to say he "owes" fans an explanation is a strong way of putting it....but it sure is hard to accept knowing we have a good passer on the side lines and a qb on the field that cant pass or think for shite..

No I wouldn't.

But the backlash from lee's sideline mannerisms comes from all those that thought thy were body language experts and constantly bashed JJ for his sideline demeanor.

Apparently it is okay for lee to pout on the sideline but JJ gets bashed for perceived pouting. That is bullshite. And you know it.

I greatly admire JL, if not for him We could have lost the first 7or8 games. He is not the best qb in the league, but his is not bad. Of course JJ could throw 8 int. & Les would still leave him in. The first quarter last week was the worst I have ever seen at qb at Lsu! We won in spite of our qb.

Statistics don't back up your opinion. Lee and Jefferson have virtually identical QB ratings and completion %. Jefferson has a better TD/INT ratio and is doing much more in the ground game.

Look at his entire body of work and get back with us. Not just this year.

I dont think Ive EVER seen it mentioned on here at ANY POINT that JL was "pouting" on the sidelines until saturday... and thats bc the announcers made mention of it.

Hell If I JL and had to sit there saturday and watch that crap at the qb postion Id prob lost my shite on the sideline.. frick a pouty face.
Having a disgusted look on his face is the best thing JL could have done.

I was doing the Lee argument a huge favor by not including total body of work.

Miles doesn't owe anyone an explanation. An explanation would be nice, simply to end all this speculation, but its not owed.

LSU has played 2 QBs for almost 2 seasons now. Suddenly, it is JJ or bust. I can't be convinced that something is not going on with Lee. Miles has shown that he goes with hot hands, at every position. And he's a good enough coach to recognize how poorly JJ was playing Saturday. So to not make a change, there has to be a reason for it. Although, the change may have been coming had TM7 not bailed us out again and got us back in the game.

This.

Miles has earned the right to the benefit of the doubt. It is also likely that he wants JJ to play through some bad spots because he knows that JJ's ability to run, coupled with his passing ability (even if not great), gives LSU a greater chance of success. JJ has always seemed to get less rattled by mistakes than JL. Even when JJ isn't having a great game, like against UGA, he is still the better option for QB in the running game because he is the better option QB and is more dangerous in his ability to get yards when a play starts breaking down. The coaches probably feel that they can make more adjustments to the game plan with JJ, because he is more of a dual threat, can still keep the defenses honest.

In any event, I think Miles deserves the benefit of the doubt. He has shown himself to be a fair guy through the years, and has the strong support of his team. Let's let him do his job. He isn't perfect, but I don't think it fair to lambaste him when we really don't know what the circumstances are.

As I posted previously, if this in any way has something to do with academics or other "personal" issues, it is illegal for anyone other than JL to comment. Obviously something has happened by it cannot be commented on to the public.
