Didn't LSU win the game by a large margin? The offense collectively looked like crap in the first half for a number of reasons..... Kind of dumb to point at JJ solely although he was struggling along with everyone else.....

Proud these two redeemed themselves, sort of, this year, but I am afraid both may go out like they came in. People will remember Lee for the Bama game (and forget the rest of the games) and JJ for the UGA and probably what will happen vs Bama.

Hopefully Miles will give both of these guys a chance to do something positive in the NCG, though he doesn't have to. It would be a nice touch. It appears that all the work they have done is slipping away.

First thing I heard this morning was,

coworker: "I know you get on TD alot. Any explanation on why we aren't starting Lee?"
me: Alot of controversy about this. At least we're winning
coworker: But why doesn't he play lee?
me: Why does it matter. We're undefeated
coworker: He could at least give us an explanation.

wtf?

One of the problems with they way we are going right now from an offensive point of view is that now BAMA only has to plan for JJ......

LSU is a better football team if the other team has to prepare for both because they are both very different players with very different offensive packages. If you play LSU with JJ at qb, you only have to defend sideline to sideline and 20 yards deep.

Regardless of whether Les Miles goes down as the most successful college football coach of all time, there is something to be said for doing things the right way. He has been a complete dickhead in the way he has handled Jarrett Lee.

How can you say that about JL? We do know that we can expect that from JL, he did a great job for 9 games... without question he is capable of executing the short passing game... use both qb's, it works for us..

It was in relation to playing well against bama.

Have you ever played football? This BS about having to prepare for two different style qb's is absolutely absurd - EVERY TEAM PREPARES KNOWING THAT THE QB MIGHT RUN THE BALL ON A DESIGNED PLAY - some of you are absolute morons!!!

If Lee doesn't take a meaningful snap in his final game, I will agree. It was disappointing he didn't get time in his final home game, outside of running the clock out.

Both Qb's are at risk of returning to their old legacy. JJ and Lee. Losing what respect they have gained.

When will you people learn to trust Les?

Hasn't he shown you enough over the years that he knows what he's fricking doing when it comes to dealing with players?

Hell just look at this year. He's dealt with star players getting felony charges (attempted to bring them) on them, players doing drugs, and QB controversy and we're STILL number 1 and UNDEFEATED?

Have you ever thought that there could be something all of us don't know about? Something potentially embarrassing for the kid that he doesn't want to mention in public?

We as fans aren't owed explanations for everything.

But what we do have is a coach that has shown over his entire tenure that he knows how to handle players.

They love to play for that man. They give it everything the have for him. They'd walk to China if Les asked them to.

From what ive heard and seen at LSU games it is a majority of the black fans pushing for JJ and the white fans pushing for LEE.
I'm white and IMO JJ is the better of the two. Lee has his chance to start and to prove himself but in the bama game (the most critical game played so far) threw two pics on consecutive pass plays. That is why he got pulled. JJ showed up had a solid game and that is why Lee lost his role and JJ earned it. Dont know if you were watching the same SEC Championship as me but you can't expect JJ to make passes when the O-Line couldnt hold ground for their life. Our pass and run game were ineffective so it wasnt just JJ. And the reason why Lee didnt go in when JJ wasnt doing well in the georgia game is because why cause controversy with one game left to play which is the BCSNC where JJ is clearly the most effective against Alabama who even before the SEC championship had a solid spot in the BCSNC. To everyone who boos JJ he is our quarterback and your boos could discourage him hurting the tigers which makes me think youre not a tiger fan at all. Support the teams QB regardless if you think he should be in or not.

It was everyone else's fault JJ could not manage to lead the offense to 1 first down in the entire first half

Pretty sure we failed to get even one. The closest we came was when they failed to call roughing and called running into the punter late in the half. But Les has a want to play the QB that gives us the best chance of winning. 7 consecutive three and outs doesn't seem to be a winning formula to me.

Who the frick cares? This isn't elementary school girl's basketball. Not everyone gets playing time.

Ya. Both of them are at risk of reverting back to loser status

Lee will always be known for his pick 6s after throwing a record of pass attempts without an interception in school history

Jefferson will always be known for his inability to be an accurate passer. Forget that he's the starter for the team that's favored to win the national championship.

God you people.

It really is true. LSU fans always find SOMETHING to bitch about.

Undefeated in a season? Let's bitch because our favorite QB isn't playing.

Going to the BCS National Championship? Let's bitch because we don't like who we're playing or think it's unfair.

Yes. Division 1 College Football. If you can't see the differences in the packages/playcalling based upon down and distance/personnel, I can't help you. It has nothing to do with the qb running.

My 9 year old son prepares for football games the way you describe.
