For those of you that keep worrying about SEC punishments, this whole was in motion before

Wright.
Wright and Harris might have been the catalyst, but for the no life people like myself that watch and listen to all the people that have scoops on this...
There's always been a quiet resentment amongst some in the SEC towards others, etc.
"Bad Blood"
They tried to call foul on LSU hiring wade back, on LSU firing Kelly, on LSU stealing Kiffin from Ole Miss, and if you dont remember, even exposing LSU's NIL contracts with players under the guise that they weren't legal (Was that Delly too?).
Anyways, the point is -- this isn't about these two players. I don't fully know what it's about, but I'd say there's an insecurity with Alabama starting to have down years in Football... and an LSU school that doesn't seem to be taking orders from Birmingham.
Before Texas and OU, per TV ratings, it truly was LSU, Georgia and Alabama.
Now, you insert Texas and OU, and I dont know if maybe they are the one's stirring the pot, but my point still stands -- it was always going to be something, so stop pretending like LSU has stirred the pot here and they should stop.
It's literally been one thing after another.

SEC died the moment they added Texas. That place causes more shite in whatever conference it's in than any other school

I think the narrative about being scared of LSU becoming a dynasty and surpassing Bama is kind of stupid. Lane hasn’t even coached a game yet and LSU has shown nothing on the field that were more than a decent team.
I absolutely think the reason the whole league is coming at us is in their minds this is final straw after being mad at us for the Lane saga, his portal recruiting, Jeff Landry getting involved, rehiring Wade, Wade’s recruiting tactics, etc. Otherwise this is a stupid hill to die on and a fight they weren’t prepared for.
Is there a risk to pissing off everyone? Absolutely. Do I also think it’s horseshite that they’re singling us out for finally pushing the boundaries of college sports after we were choir boys the last 4 years and watched everyone else surpass us by filing lawsuits and playing fast and loose with NIL and eligibility? Also yes.

Goes to show how nasty the competitive level of the SEC is.

Wade’s recruiting tactics
The same tactics that other schools use?
