can we not just get 1 DC? would that free up a spot for a QB coach they are going to need to get one somehow i think it would sure help for the QB'S to have some one on the side line to talk to after each series than Crowton in the press box.

understood lee was not a crowton recruit, but i'm pretty sure the garrett kid from tupelo is a drop back passer, not a dual threat

Crowton and Studwara are two of the brightest spots on LSU's coaching staff.

The fact that LSU is ranked where it is in total offense while virtually playing without a QB for most of the season is testament to that.

Any of the short memory Tiger fans out there remember how bad our OL was 2 seasons ago and how thin it was last year when we won the NC? The fact that Crowton broke many of LSU's offensive records last season with Jimbo's players, a thin OL with a new coach should clue you in to his abilities.

Give Crowton 2 years and the unbelievable talent LSU has and is bringing in and the offensive playbook gets spread out wide open.

Please people, don't screw up one of the only bright spots LSU has.

Let's concentrate on the real problem, defense.

OSU is the only team in the BCS era to win a NC without a top ranked defense.

That ain't no coincidence LSU fans and it's also the reason the Big XII champ will get devoured by Florida in the NCG.

He definitely needs some things:

he can not be everywhere at all times, so YES, he needs a QB coach AND a RECEIVERS coach.
We are pathetic in our approach to catching the ball.
We seem to think that all balls must be perfect and come straight to us....
GO TOWARDS THE BALL-GO CATCH IT AGGRESSIVELY.

Where is the hunger?

Crowton is safe.

Firing him would be the second worst staff decision of Miles' career.

Agreed. Need to move quickly on this, while decent DC candidates are still there for the taking.
