What quality coach would even want an interview when a school fired a coach who went 13-1, won the SEC Championship, and took his team to the BCSNCG?

Give it a rest. Miles is a great coach and the only way he is leaving LSU is if he decides to do so. He is not going to be fired and anyone who thinks he will be is a drooling moron.

Who knows what Miles was or was not thinking by humiliating Lee? To me it appeared personal and intentional, but what do I know? NEVER assume that you know what someone else is thinking because I can assure you that 99.99% of the time you don't.

In this age of BCS football it takes a nearly flawless season (12-0)LSU, (11-1) Gumps to even reach a BCS bowl game, much less getting chosen by the GUMP algorithm computers, or the Sabanist cult voters & some want Miles fired this is just CRAZY. So we fell apart in the NC, it was hard to watch, this I know, @ times I debated turning the channel but I couldn't. With a 1 loss regular season we could have easily been in Okie states spot.

Please just stop. You're egging on the rantards.

There's no freaking way Miles is going anywhere. He's the only, only coach, ever, to get the program to 13-0.

Almost every coach in the country(Not CNS or CMB) would be knocking doors to be the coach at LSU. Are you kidding me, this is one of the top 5 jobs in the country right now.

ooo they fired a guy that sounds retarded, changes personnel with 9 seconds on the clock and no TOs, eats grass, calls for a spike with 1 sec left.

no, I dont want a job where a guy that does all those things has enough talent to win 13 games. Why would I want a top 5 job in america. They might fire me.

First, you are a idiot. I love Miles and have stated so, yes I am pissed about the BCSNCG but I want the dude here until he doesn't want to be here.

Second, you are even a bigger idiot than I thought originally. If you do not think that every single coach in the country outside of maybe 5 would not create a new way to get to B.R. just so they can get here faster to be the coach at LSU makes me think that there is no hope for you.

Get this through your head!

WITH GREATNESS COMES EXPECTATIONS ... WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS YOU CAN NEVER EXPECT GREATNESS!!!

Miles and every other GREAT coach knows this.

Wake up and smell the funk of your own arse!! No way CLM deserves to be fired, and no way he will be fired. While he shite his pants big time in the NC game. The season preceding it was pretty impressive and the 2012 season looks to be as good or better. Not to mention the overall success he has had since coming to LSU.

At first I want to say I agree with you. It would look horrible to fire Miles with type of record he has and what would that look like for the school.

On the other hand, I bet there are some great coaches out there that would do anything to have such a talented team. I know there are some shaking thier head that Les Miles is head coach of one them.

Miles being fired is not even on the table. It is laughable.

Strictly hypothetic, who would want this job, even though it is not available? Any coach in America, with the exception of NS, Lane Kiffin, Chris Peterson, Urban Cryer, and Mack Brown. Any of these may want it in a few years (except Mack Brown)

It is a lucrative position where a lot of kids are easily recruited, being Tiger fans by birth. We are lucky to have CLM, even with the total meltdown on 1-09. CLM is also lucky to have us.

And last, IMHO, Petrino would eat the corn out of CLM's crap for a chance to replace him.

Knute Rockne, Bear Bryant, Bill Belichick, Sean Payton, Jimmy Johnson, Bill Walsh and Vince Lombardi amongst others would all love to be head coach of LSU.

I heard the LSU job is so good, the NFL coaches have all agreed that the winning coach of this year's Super Bowl will also win the opportunity to coach at LSU.

Firing Miles would be stupid for many reasons.

This is not one of them.

I don't think you can fire a coach that went 13-1 no matter how much he screwed up
