If Bama wins and next year it comes down to a 1 loss LSU and a 1 loss Big 12 team, the respect of the SEC will prevail

if Bama loses it slightly tarnishes that advantage

I believe I'd pull for usc if they were playing bama. I csn't pull for bama. I will pull for all of the other sec schools, not bama.

read my post. I want SEC to win NCG every year. If its not LSU, then at least I get the chance to beat NC every year.

Always pull for the sec. keeping the "best" reputation helps whenever you have two losses and are hoping that the human polls go your way in order to make it to the bcsnc game. remember?

Its all about perception. When the polls come out at the beginning of the year and the SEC is perceived to be better than other conferences and LSU is recruiting well and in the SEC - the strongest conference, they may get a higher ranking to start and we all know where you start affects where you end up - especially if you can win. So, of course we have to win and I am hoping the offense gets fixed one way or another, but playing in the toughest conference in the league will always help.

So, as I am choking down my coffee I am saying Geaux Bama.

It's gonna kill me, but I might just pull for Bama so Saban can finally leave.

Bingo...lets play their schedule and see how fast we climb. After yesterday, there is no doubt that texas gets whipped by bama.

for the first time since USC-Texas, I am a fan of the Longhorns.

What were you thinking as Brown went for three pass plays while already in field goal position as the clock ticked......?

Why? Explain how bama winning helps LSU in ANY way.

It pretty simple to any LSU fan who has ever lived out of the state of Louisiana. Whent he SEC teams win it improves the reputation of the SEC. Many recruits come to SEC schools just to play with the best against the best.
If that is too deep for you, think of the ACC in basketball.

In addition, I'm beginning to get the same feeling when I watch LSU as I once got while watching the Saints. When watching Alabama or Florida it's like watching the Patriots or the Steelers. I hope we improve soon. I've been rooting for the Tigers since 1062. Arnsparger and then Saban showed what is possible at LSU. Watching the incompetence on the sideline that we see every week is not much fun anymore.

Saban to ND for a chance to win a NC at his 3rd program and a chance to bring back the Irish, which 1) gives the SEC the last 4 NC's by 3 different teams and 2) gets Saban out of the SEC West

If you can't understand that, then...

In the old days there was a popular bumper sticker that read

My two favorite teams are LSU
and whoever is playing Alabama!

I am pulling for Bama. Saban is a good coach. Can't stand Brown for the way he screwed Applewhite while giving preference to Simms. Texas sucks.

The only way I will ever pull for bama is if we need them to win to help LSU into the SEC championship; maybe one day LSU & Auburn each have one loss with LSU having lost to Auburn.

As far as needing Texas to lose to enable us to recruit in Houston, I'm more worried about keeping saban out of Louisiana.

Its a simple deal. I'll pull for every SEC school in their bowl game except Bama. The arrogance of their fans is unreal.

bullshite, it will come down to SOS for 2010, what happened in 2009 will have little or no impact. LSU has a good OOC next year and will play at least 3 ranked teams in conference, that would make the difference and would put LSU in over a Big 12 teams with a weaker schedule even if Texas won the 2009 NC.
