All I know is that the Super Dome was full of 'Bama, UF, Ark, MSU, TN, and OM fans in both the '04 and 08 BCS title games that were all pulling for the Tigers. They were scattered throughout the Tiger Nation crowds at both events and cheered just as loudly as we did. Conference comaradarie is alive and well in the SEC. There's no shame in not pulling for other SEC teams in their bowl and non-conferenc games if you so chose but it's just as right if you are pro-SEC. I do not believe that recruits base their destination solely on who wins the NC or any other bowl games. Lot more to it than that. In fact, Saban had a heck of a recruiting class at 'Bama on the heals of LSU's BCS championship.

Not saying it helps LSU to pull for Bama. I will say that it makes me happy to see Texas lose at anything... Roll-Tide! I'll be happy : )

Because now the SEC will have won the national championship 4 years in a row and 5 times in this decade. It could help pull recruits to this region as a whole and gives more credit to the SEC. If Bama walks in there and gets stomped by Texas, whats that say about Florida? It doesn't help LSU directly but why would you not pull for your conference?

If you want the honest truth about it, I'd pull for Alabama if it weren't for both fans of LSU and Alabama.
LSU fans because the continuous envy and jealousy of Saban. The more success he has, the worst it gets.
Alabama fans are arrogant. Plain and simple. Nothing would be better than to see them lose something that they think is owed to them.

root for bama...first their sec...second they beat us...any team that beats us and wins the NC...makes our loss to them seem not so bad...just my opinion

+1, rather have to live with a loss to the BEST team in the country not the 2nd best.

I am a Tigah fan 1st but also an SEC fan. every SEC school has something unique to itself! I'll be pulling for BAMA! All this BAMA hate.....I think it is envy. If any school does not like BAMA's refound dominance.....something can be done about it!!!! Any SEC school is free to challenge them. Do we have any takers? That is the idea. A BAMA thumping of Texas would further show what it is like week in and week out in the SEC. Texas would be hard pressed to finish 3rd or 4th with a healthy SEC schedule....they will soon find out.

I am not ready to pull for Bama in the NCG. After the way they got there by the means they did. I do not care they are in the SEC or not. Everyone can be mad at me. I have still got a bad taste in my mouth from the BAMA game and the fact there should have been a penalty on Cody in the UT game for takng his helment of on the field.

i have to pull for the SEC... its about keeping dominance in the conference... and i still think Texas is unproven. I do not think 1 second should have been put back on the clock for them, and their signature win is against... Oklahoma St?? bamas gonna roll (like it or not) and then LSU's gonna

The more respect the SEC gets, the more preseason votes we will get in the polls next season. The higher you start, the higher you finish. Right now we are considered the strongest conference partly because we have won the Championship for the recent past. I would just as soon keep it that way.

I will go for SEC in any game (Rather LSU) but I am hoping that Texas just stomps BAMA. 2 years straight to bowl games and no wins....sounds like Ohio St.

Piss on that, my favorite team is LSU first and then whoever plays bama second. The only way I would ever pull for bama is if they were playing Hitler. And then I would still have to think about it.

I have never in my life pulled for Bama for anything. The people of that state are the double wide scum of the earth. Saban presence doesn't help, but if he wasn't there it would not make a difference. Bear Bryant had the SEC office eating out of his hand, still does in a way, he was a cheating scoundrel who bent the rule of law more than Bill Clinton & Edwin Edwards.
