I'd rather texas than k state. We owe them one for the last cotton bowl. I went to the game and had to watch roy williams turn 5 yard catches into 75 yard touchdowns all day. It was like a 10 AM game and I was hungover bad from new years. Needless to say it was a long day.

They must win to be our opponent. There is no way a 4 loss Texas team plays in Coton
Bowl. Texas vs LSU would be awesome - again!
I was there the last time and it was a great game. No one knew it at the time but we were watching 2 of the next 3 BCS national champions play that New Year's Day: LSU in 2003 and UT in 2005 w Vince Young. Pretty cool. Geaux Tigers!

Georgia to Cotton...Book it!

Where do you people come up with this stuff? Um the Cotton bowl has only taken one east team since the 2000 season. The year was 2004-05 season. Auburn was in the Sugar, and we were in the Capital One. This would leave a 3-5 in SEC Bama team as the only other West team bowl eligible or a 7-1 in SEC UT team to pick from. They will bend over backwards for a West team especially for A&M, LSU, Ark, and Ole Miss.

Slive and the SEC head office are trying to strong arm the Cotton Bowl into taking UGA, which leaves LSU in the Chicken Sandwich Bowl.

They have to be our opponent unless you want to play a 7-5 Big 12 team in the Cotton lol.

Exactly. OU and K state are going to the BCS. Everyone else in the Big 12 has a worse record than Texas.

Last time we played Texas in the cotton bowl, the following season we won the SEC and BCS championships.

I doubt this happens, but if it does Alleva needs to go. First we get the the east schedule screw over than this. In 05 we lost the SEC championship game with the same record UGA had this year and nobody lobbied for us to go anywhere but the chicken bowl. This is the way that it has always been....picks #3-4 The Cotton Bowl Classic has first pick of remaining teams from the Western Division, and the Outback Bowl picks a remaining team from the Eastern Division.

Alleva is spineless. He won't stand up to Slive.

Besides being a slap in the face to LSU, it doesn't make any sense financially for either us for UGA. Our fans won't travel well to ATL and their fans may not want to go to Dallas.
