Please No. Our traditional white uniforms are one of, if not the best looking uniforms in all of sports. The only reason we were wearing purple against Auburn in 1988 is because the NCAA made us wear purple. Every LSU fan could not wait to return to the traditional white. Thank you Gerry D for bringing back the magic (and the white shirts).

White jerseys in football are meant for road games. The purple jerseys are GOAT.

I remember the when our fan base, long before The Rant, was adamantly against the purple jerseys! The belief was the purple jerseys were bad luck and the team either lost or played poorly when wearing them.

Pretty sure pigs fly game vs Alabama was the unform combo as well.

Recall the origin of the whites at home. After 9-1 someone suggested the Tigers should earn back the whites. Obviously, Les did not do institute this and the time to do it would've been the 2012 season. But, it could've given a shot.

I still like adapting the gear to the environment: wearing gold jerseys when colors are mandated during hot arse day game always seemed like a good call.

Addendum I: Evidence of objection to Purple Jerseys.


I'll concede you could blame the white helmets and pants. Or you can recognize the dye/pigments/colored-matter on the uniforms aren't playing the game; the players are.
