For those that do remember, this is also what the media and UGA fans were screaming back in '03. UGA played LSU close in Tiger Stadium and for the 'statistical most part' looked better. What'd the Tigers do to the 'dawgs in Atlanta that same year?

LSU missed out on TD opportunities....bama missed out on 40-50+ yd FG opportunities AT HOME.
Tennessee must have been better than Bama in 09 since they had more opportunities to kick FGs to win the game.

I don't suppose it's occurred to you that maybe LSU didn't play their best in the "Game of the Century" either... I know you usually make 52 yard field goals and all, but we normally don't drop touchdown passes, or blow assignments on 3rd and 20 from your 4 yard line, or fall down on the 6 yard line on what should have been a touch down pass,or let RBs pick up 30 yard gains on passes into the flats.

Probably not. Both teams are very close as it is, and losing twice to LSU would be no coincidence. If LSU wins in January I will be back to eat my crow...as long as I don't fall into a dark pit of despair never to emerge.

tough schedule is an understatement, this baby was the bataan death march and we came out unscathed. I think most are upset that bama could ruin it(perfect season) and they feel we have played enough tough opponents already...and do not need to play bama again for obvious reasons not too mention the legit argument okie lite has.

how about get JJ the hell out of the damn pocket if we sense he is crumbling and has no pocket presence???? PA rollouts with a 3 level flood to the side he is rolling out to? 3 step drop quick hitters? more run-pass options? better running between the tackles? Better downfield passing? We have a lot of work to do.
oh and how about some accuracy this game unlike the seccg???? We need the JJ that showed up versus r-kansas and NOt the JJ that showed up against UGA. FACT!

We all agree that JJ lacks things like pocket presence but he does well in games he has long prep times for. Bowl games especially. Bama plays the front seven and can stop run between tackles much like GA. Rolling him out is good and keep the pocket moving. Passing on first down will help as well.

If you do not believe that Bama is at least the 2nd best team in the SEC you are kidding yourself. It's not our fault that the current #1 team in the country happens to be in the same divison from the same conference. We would mop the floor with everyone in the country with the exception of LSU. The same goes for your "damn strong" football team. And you know this man.
