They are going to claim that if they win by more than 3 they are the better team. The media is already laying the ground work for this ridiculous argument. Sorry LSU will have more wins having played a much harder schedule and will be 1-1 with Bama even if they don't show up to the dome for the game.
Seriously, who actually sits there and says my loss is better than your loss?
It's not going to matter as this team should be incredibly mad. I can't remember an undefeated team who just ran the gauntlet of a schedule LSU just did, being this disrespected. It's as if the media and Bama are saying LSU didn't win Nov 5th. It's going to be fun watching this team playing angry.

You just revealed the biggest issue with championship games. While they can settle who was the best team most of the time, all that game proves is who was best that day. The 2007 Patriots are the perfect example of this. Were they the better team overall that season? I honestly believe they were the best team to not win a championship in the NFL. However, the 2007 Giants played better that day and thus became champions in that system. Championships aren't perfect, but they're really the best thing we have to say which team was best that season.

Truly has been amazing to watch how all of this has played out over the last few days. If one did not know the score of the game Nov 5th... you would have thought LSU lost to bama based on the way Espn was discussing it last night.
LSU has a chance to end all doubt now... hopefully we show up ready and get it done!

The problem with the NYGiants New England argument is very SIMPLE!
They were NOT in the same division and conference. Nobody from the Giants division or conference got to play in the Super Bowl because they all got beat and had worse records.

I hate these arguments after losses. Yeh, their kickers missed fg's. But who's to say we wouldn't have had huge returns on the ensuing kickoffs if they had made them all? All these "what if's" can be answered with more "what if's". Stupid logic, butthurt fans

How is putting the #2 team in the country in the BCSNG disrespectful? It's no slight against your team, it's just the way the system is. If there was a playoff do you feel the championship game would feature these same two teams?
It's going to be an excellent game in January, and for either side to believe they will come out and dominate is foolish. It will be a battle, but this time I believe the better team will win.
I vuvuzela do declare that this one is for real, because, the best team didn't win last time, but if we win, the best team will have won, if not this year next year.

I give credit where credit is due, and LSU is certainly due praise and credit for an amazing season, and an amazing decade of football dominance.
