If you were a top tier, big name coach, would you take the job knowing your predecessor was given only one year to turn things around? I think not.

Top name coaches don’t compare themselves to Ed fricking Orgeron. The loser mentality of you people makes me thankful I cross many of you in business. Easy Pickens.

I am totally ok with a top tier coach turning us down as long as a coach that isn't a career loser would take the job.

If they paid me enough money and I was guaranteed to have Dave Aranda and Corey Raymond on staff I could give a frick if my predecessor lasted 2 weeks.

a top tier coach would laugh and say im taking over for orgeron. He shouldn't have been hired by any school. Id imagine they'd understand our situation

Tennessee still got a better coach than us and they fired their coach after 2 hours.

Most of us just want Alleva fired Now.

A new AD can make the decision on O, but replacing the AD would signal to other coaches that LSU is serious about improving.

That attracts talent.

If my predecessor was a coach O? fricking right I would. How could you possibly look bad when compared to that?

The right amount of money tends to make people look past those things.

Ok, so given than Ed Orgeron under no circumstances wins a championship here (barring a scenario where he finds his own version of Gus Malzahn/Cam Newton and lucks into a championship like Gene Chizik), why should we prolong this man's tenure any longer? His ceiling is 9 wins when the SEC was down apart from 2 teams.

If anything I wouldn’t want to work for an AD who was stupid enough to hire Ed fricking O in the first place.

I thought this wasn’t supposed to be a rebuild? He inherited a team that could win now and played one of the weakest sec schedules of all time and still managed 4 losses.

Special Ed was never a good coach so he gets a very short leash. All the good coaches are considered good coaches because they had good success at previous jobs, therefore they would have more time, a longer leash, and more patience from everyone involved with LSU. Special Ed doesn't deserve that treatment. This really isn't a difficult thing to figure out.

Firing Orgeron with Alleva still working as AD will put us in the exact same position as this year.

Stop talking about firing Orgeron, and talk about firing our shite AD.

Most people know he won’t realistically be fired any time soon. But you can formulate an opinion on the direction of the program based on what you’ve seen, or haven’t seen, from him so far.
