It doesn't matter if everyone on the field was open, it's your responsibility as a damn coach to factor in these kids may not execute that pass. Mett could make a bad pass (obviously), receiver could drop it, not to mention you've been sacked more than Jenna J. There's a reason 98% of coaches run twice right there.

It was an outstanding play call. Presumably the coaches knew Clemson's tendencies, correctly guessed their defense, and made the perfect call to exploit it. In the split second when Mett was releasing the ball, Dabo probably thought, "shite, they beat us.", and Miles probably thought, "Hell yes! Finally put these guys away." Then Mett missed a throw my wife could have made. That was THE easiest throw in football!

It was 2nd and 2 and Hill was averaging 10 yards a carry. 1st down was an outstanding call. 2nd and 3rd down were atrocious.

It wasn't the perfect play call because it DIDN'T work. You have to factor everything, and that includes your players screwing it up. No sense in that call, I really don't care what any of you say about someone being opened

i don't like the playcall becasue it was a throw all the way across the field

too many things can happen with that. interception, bad throw (which did happend).

just a simple screen would have done.

Really dude running plays take execution too. I mean you guys are making it hard not defend Les. Hes damned if they run it and damn if they pass it jeez it just takes execution of the plays.

Running plays are a lot easier to execute. Handoff vs. pass and catch. Which is easier? Which guarantees the clock will run?

It's funny that all you arm chair coaches have a problem with the play calling , yet if the PLAYERS EXECUTE , we win that game.
My 6 year old son could've made that throw.
That was the correct call to make. Wr wide open and our qb shite the bed.

Why? Because 1st down worked, and 2nd and 3rd down didn't?

The 2nd and 2 call worked as well as the coaches had hoped and expected. Our quarterback had to execute a very simple pass, and we would've won the game.

bullshite. It was perfect. Les miles will never win with some of our fans. You bitch about him running into 8-9 man fronts and then you bitch when he finally throws the ball on a perfect play call. It's not like we were running it down their throats. A wide open wr and a throw every middle school qb can make and we win.

say LSU runs twice and doesn't make it

all we would see is threads of "should have thrown the ball"

players have to execute. Period.

Then u dont know anything about run blocking schemes they are not easy to execute if that was the case they would run 100% of the time.

Exactly. Had Les chose to run into the teeth of a 10 man front, posters would be talking shite about that. Bottom line is Miles will never make LSU fans happy. Never. The man should've left for his dream job at Michigan and maybe these LSU "fans" would see the grass isn't greener. While we didn't have a great season , we finished with 10 wins in the hardest division in the hardest conf in CFB.
LSU fans need to take a look at Auburn's program and Texas's program and see that , yes things can be worse.
