oh hell, i already knew that last year, it was discussed many times here that Kendal was denied by Alleva.... there were only 3 people that were considered for the OC job, kiffen wasnt taking it but pushed O to take Kendal, then it was Stephen Gilbert...
This year its basically Briles and Freeze, they are just waiting for the flack to die down from all of this... nothing will happen until after signing day... 100%...

Well UH is not LSU. It would have been a much bigger deal if one of the top tier programs would’ve grabbed him. Him going for a year to a mid level program was the best for everyone involved. He is still working with decent talent plus the storm of his Baylor past blows over.
K Briles being being not the main name of the respective scandal also helped.

Now this I disagree with.
Miles had built up enough clout to do what he wanted here. That could be part of the reason him and Alleva didn't get along. They're both control freaks. I think part of the reason Alleva went after Orgeron after his boyfriend Herman broke his heart, was because he could control Orgeron in a way he couldn't control Miles.
Plus Miles had plenty of years without Alleva and he still made stupid decisions and refused to modernize the offense.
I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm on the, "they all suck", train. Miles, Orgeron, Alleva, F Queen, Ensminger. The only one I think is worth a shite is Dave Aranda.
