im still anxiously waiting for you to explain what you know about brooks, jones, and petersons field awareness skills and instincts given that all 3 of them combined have a grand total of 0 snaps in a college football game.

i knew you couldnt do it. just another thing to add to the list of ridiculous claims you cant backup or support on this board. in fact thats pretty much what this entire thread is.

I named 7 players to counter the 3 or 4 you named. Do you not see 3-4 of the 7 making similar splashes in college and the NFL? The smoking joke is cute, but doesn't talk to this topic.

Dickson = Winslow?

And you don't have an Andre Johnson on your team either.

McGahee-esque player, maybe, but he was a STUD in college. These guys haven't even proven themselves yet, and you are putting them BETTER or EQUAL to 2001 Miami?

This is such a stupid thread. But off the top of my head, just this decade, I'd take '01 Miami and '06 USC. They also had proven, stud college QBs, which is the 11th, and most important, player on the offense. Two teams the last four seasons have had better running backs than LSU will have this year in Auburn '04 and USC '06.

With RP, probably a good argument, but with inexperienced QB's? Inexperienced CB's? In the SEC with AU, UF, USC, ARKY on road? 12-0? Not saying it is not possible but highly highly unlikely! After the combine we found out that our team last year did not have the talent we thought they did. What Cosmo said, Experience, strength and heart won that title. This years team will have tons of more talent, but not much experience in key places. Our QB's going on the road in the SEC into hostle environments. Our new OLB's covering SEC RB's (and there are some damn good 1's this season) out of the backfield. Our new CB's going against spread offenses on the road with mobile QB's. It's easier said than done. Like i said possible and i hope we do, but i wouldn't bet on it, even if you gave me $ to bet on it... i'd spend it on a keg for a tailgating party!!! lmao!!!

I could name 15 players to counter the 3 or 4 but if none of them were as good whats the point?

Oh the talent is there, but the schedule does not bid in our favor with a brand new QB! Not in the SEC.

We don't have an Andre. I will agree with that. No one does. But the overall wide receiver corp we do have is comparable to the Miami corp in 2001. McGahee got a lot of carries and was the main horse before this injury. But LSU does not run a main horse, we run several who very good RB's, so again, the LSU RB corp is as good as the Miami 01 team. Winslow was a stud, but Dickson is about 90% as good. As for the Oline, I think LSU has them beat by my assessment. Overall, LSU compares well to Miami 01 at the 10 positions.

They may compare well at the "10 positions" but they aren't better than Miami. And again, this is a stupid debate because Miami had a dominant college QB. You don't play offense and go 12-0 with 10 guys.

Also on that team were:

Clinton Portis
Frank Gore
Najah Devenport
Ken Dorsey
Roscoe Parrish
Ethnic Sans

I mean, good god. What a team that was. But you're right, same as unproven, untestedd, QB-less 2008 LSU.

If you believe LSU will go 12-0 or 11-1, would you be willing to back that statement up with money?

If I'm a bettin person, I'd bet on LSU.
Well, let me ask you...who is your team that you would put your money on?

Flynn was a first year starter, and unhealthy for the far majority of the games he played, and look what that offense did with a poor right side Oline and poor receiver play most of the season..

exactly--and when they were healthy....48-7 over va tech--45-0 over msu--31 straight on osu. Now imagine that with a better o line and more fire out of the receivers. ....... It is counter acted by experience probs with our qb, but by midseason this tells us that our qb could be at the same level as flynn or better. That, with a better o line and receivers and more from the off coord. So if thats better than when we beat va tech, then you do the math(oh yea throw in a better d)

Seniors make all the difference, IMO.

I think that Ohio State has the seniors this year to do what they couldn't the last two years.

All because of senior leadership/experience.

take a number and get in line. ive been waiting for a week or 2 for him to explain how he knows 3 cb's that have never played a single down of college football are better than the only 2 cb's on the roster with any game experience.
