Why couldn't Matt Flynn beat JR out if he was a better QB, more of a leader, better decision maker, had more heart, etc....
Let's say JR stays for his SR year, does Flynn beat him out because of his intangibles or does he transfer or ride the bench for his 5th year?
I will put my money on the guy who beat the other guy out fair and square and basically kept the other guy on the bench until he got hurt.
game.
set.
match.

Shame on him for losing to UF, who arse raped the #1 team in the country at the end of the year!
Who was the quarterback of the team that "arse raped" the proclaimed number 1 team in the nation in 07?

i'll take your word for it. I didn't think they were ranked at the time though.
Pretty sure they were #17 and like 6-2 or something like that at the time. They ended up choking at the end though, proving that they weren't much better than the team that JR and LSU carved up in 06.

the same quarterback that only started one year.
and that was only because the "dumb" one got drafted early as the #1 overall pick.

LOSING TO TWO TOP 10 TEAMS ON THE ROAD IS NOT THE SAME AS LOSING TO TWO TEAMS THAT FINISHED THE SEASON UNRANKED
pretty much
retarded.
Losing to 2 Top teams on the road - offense
Losing to 2 teams that finished unranked - defense
And since you lump the two together in a thread that is about who's the better offensive leader - priceless
And when you throw in that the QB was the sole reason for the two offensive losses (ints, fumbles, sacks, poor clock management, throwing to the 5 yd line as time runs out) which cost us the SEC and BCS games, I'm gonna stick with FLYNN being the better QB FOR LSU

06' LSU went to the Sugar(BCS Bowl) and won.
no sense in arguing with robbrobb. he dont like black QB's.
saying JR was the sole reason LSU lost to Auburn and Florida is a joke.

I love what Flynn did for LSU, I root for him to play for the Packers because I am in Viking country. I want him to have a long NFL career, make some good money, rep LSU, and be an ambassador for LSU football.
You guys kill me with this stupid _ss arguement. It continues to seem like the only reason this occurs, in my opinion, is because of race.
Give me either Hester or Scott, both Louisiana boys who stayed home to make us all proud of what they have done and continue to do.
I like how this is the most relevant post in this entire thread and has largely been ignored.
JR was better and proved it to coaches which is why he was the starter in 06. If Flynn was better than he would have beaten JR for the starting spot.

Different offensive coordinators. Unlike Fisher, Crowton has shown a willingness to go to the relief pitcher, if needed. The Aub & Fla games might have had a different outcome had MF been in for a few series. We'll never know.

Whats a shame is almost 3years later and RobbRobb is still trying to talk down what JR did for LSU. Dude played his heart out for 3yrs and won a lot of games for LSU, and then this sucker feels the need to take cheap shots at the guy every chance he gets in almost every thread that is brought up about past LSU QB's.

Please find me another person that agrees with this.
Did LSU not go to the Sugar and won it in 2006?

JR didn't have what it took between his ears. he thought his arm could get him out of trouble every time. flynn was much smarter than JR. JR had more skills, Flynn had the brains, and brains won a championship! imo

I said this a couple of days ago on the SEC rant, and some dumbass argued with me saying it's not true.

you're the clown that said the QB was the SOLE reason for the 2 losses and that cost us the SEC and BCS games.
