Well at least he`s not hardheaded like LM.BK sees a problem and tries
to fix it.
How many coaches had les than 2 losses this season maybe 3 or 4.

This all has to do with "money". Finding a school who will pay them with the lsu stamp on them. NIL has destroyed ncaa football. No one cares about developing and playing 1 yr for a school. Kids can look past 5 minutes and realize 1 yr of successful play starting at your position can get you drafted.
Either that or several players are leaving because of Burger King.

All of the most recent champions and most of the playoff contenders still do. You just have to prioritize and pay your top contributors and young up and comers who you have to keep. And you have to keep the talent train rolling in to replace those who leave. Then use the portal to supplement and try to grab a difference maker when you can.

LB is a numbers game in our defense. We are likely only going to rotate 5 guys on a regular basis. West will be back next season and Keys has already gotten on the field. Maybe he thinks Perkins is coming back to play Sam in the 4-3.

The portal will only be an available to those not under a current contract. Recruiting and signing those contracts will become the primary means of talent acquisition again.

Causey was probably because the CB class numbers were so last year with the defense falling flat and staff getting fired. He was also recruited and signed before Raymond was back, so that may have something to do with this.
As for saving for the portal, there aren’t as many impact players available in the spring window.

If all 4 of those freshman don’t pan out and get playing time and transfer then I will tip my cap. But something tells me two or more of those guys would pass up Atkins on the depth chart next year.
