Did anyone have any funny reactions by any Florida fans to the JJ jump pass? The one guy I was watching the game with fell backwards out of his chair and wouldn't talk for a few minutes.

one thing about Florida fans I also noticed. They can dish it out, but cannot take it back at them.

I read it was Billy G's idea to pull it out on his former team

I sat right near the Florida band, and behind about 3 rows of Florida students. I'm not one to talk much trash, so I wasn't running my mouth any. At the same time, contrary to what I hear about Gator fans, I didn't hear any smack coming back from them either. I really think they knew coming into the game that they had no shot and were just there to enjoy the trip. They weren't griping about the refs, coaches, or players. They just kind of shrugged their shoulders at the display on the field. They were kind of grinning at the jump pass.

There was one Florida fan, who kept saying he was really a Miami fan (whatever), got up and left the patio section at Front Page News in Little 5 Points where we were watching the game.

That's true for most teams that compete for championships. The bandwagon fans are in to be "a winner" and can't handle when the bandwagon loses.

That was my observation as well, as we sit in the East Upper near where the opposing fans sit. Yesterday, they almost acted like they were resigned to their fate...

I live in FL and my husband is a gator. All his friends are gators. They are all gracious, acknowledging that LSU is the better team the last 2 years. None are bandwagon fans and they hurt when they lose.

That said, I have been married 23 years and in the early years it was hell....we wouldn't speak for days.

Finally, its a great time to be an LSU Tiger - I have watched us get beat more times than not for years, so I am happy to be on the winning end of the stick these days.

Sundown: No Florida schools in AP Top 25:
MIAMI (AP)—Florida is out of The Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Not just the Gators—the entire state.

For the first time since Dec. 6, 1982, no Sunshine State team was among the AP rankings on Sunday, marking the end of 472 straight polls where either Florida, Florida State or Miami—and usually all three—were on the list. Florida and Florida State both lost Saturday, the Gators losing at No. 1 LSU 41-11 and the Seminoles continuing their freefall with a 35-30 setback at Wake Forest.
