Flight to Tel Aviv diverted to Saudi Arabia after incident in cockpit

Was about to post. It seems the copilot stabbed the pilot in a murder/suicide attempt.
2 passenger pilots in the back helped land the plane.
Don't know if true, but reports are they lost 14,000' in 30 seconds. Seems to be the case by the state of the rudder.

If Google is correct, that is only 318mph. That alone would not cause the seperation of the rudder.

You know they were moving forward too? Could have been over 600mph, which would lead to the pic I posted.
An emergency descent is around 4 to 6,000 fpm. This was apparently 28,000 fpm.

On a related note, seems the Max 8 held up pretty well on that rapid descent, gives a plus to Boeing.

The airframe was always fine (minus that door plug issue that wasnt boeings fault)
MAX problems have been software issues

I know the 737 is reliable, I was referring more to the current state of their plane building and QAQC.

It's more that the engines were on than the trajectory. Straight down with engines max power would have been even faster.

Looking at the data they peaked around 600kts. So almost 690mph.
