Coming down with my buddies for the big game. First time to Tiger Stadium...hoping to confirm all the articles saying #1 game day experience in CFB. 2 quick questions:

1. Is there any advantage to sitting in East Upper vs West Upper...or are they both the same? I assume that's where we'll end up given ticket prices (no tix yet!).
2. Looking for a good place to park that doesn't cost arm and leg...and puts us in a good spot to enjoy the festivities.

p.s. I hate Alabama...always have...Penn State fan here.

Get to campus early (7am-ish) and park at the Ag Center. East upper will have less Gumps. Have fun!

You'll leaving fully understanding that it's the greatest atmosphere in college football if this game is close.

Same. But try not to sit there if you can help it. You'll be among tons of gumps, and won't get the complete experience.

There are free lots available.

Welcome. It will be insane. East side faces the sun but that wont be a problem. NIGHT GAME! Get there early and enjoy the all day atmosphere. BTW, I think Penn State white out games look awesome.

Get there early. Parking will more than likely be a problem. Wear your Penn State gear. You’ll stand out in the crowd and people will be wanting to show you a good time.
As far as tickets go, there really is no difference in the upper decks except if you sit in the East Upper you can’t really get to any other parts of the stadium.
Prepare your body. It’s gonna be an awesome atmosphere.

You may hear the LSU band better on east side. East side will have a lot more Bama fans but the LSU fans on west side (especially students) will be louder to you.

For day game, east side would have sun in your face but this game is at night.

Enjoy.

Regarding parking, hopefully someone else can help you. You will need to get out there super early to park in a free spot on campus.

East and West uppers are both nice and a great view. Hope you don’t mind heights. Get in that elevator line about an hour before game time (at least) - you will want to see all our pregame videos/songs/warm ups/atmosphere.

We are attempting a first half white out, because of Devin White’s suspension. No way it will turn out like y’all do it at Penn State. Our fans are very superstitious and set in their ways and don’t like to wear something different.

Wear your Penn State gear, stop at tailgates, tell them you hate Bama and you will be fed and offered beverages. Geaux Tigers!

Walk around with a Bama hat on and repeatedly say loudly "fk Mike or fk the Tigahs!" You will be received warmly and treated like family.

Kidding...park in the levee lots or hayfield west and SW of the stadium...but get there early.

Walk around to the tailgates...some good ones around the Indian mounds, (ask for directions), down towards the vet school, by the dairy, or south of the stadium.
Check out the big-tittied babes everywhere. Go to the bookstore east of the Student Union and buy some good Tiger gear...there's also lots of couches and chairs at the Union near the McDonalds if you need respite. Go the parade grounds and toss the football around some. Visit Mike's cage and watch the band come down the hill. Any tiger fan can point you in the right direction.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

You’re gonna shite yourself how much better it is than anything in the Big 10

ETA: I say this as someone who's been to most of the heavy hitters in the B1G likeMichigan, Ohio Sate (for The Game), Wisconsin, and my dad has been to a big game at Penn State. The last big one I really need to make is Michigan State.

(I still do not count Nebraska as the B1G )

In no particular order:

—Upper decks. Don’t think East or west will make a difference for a night game. The North or south end of those upper decks might. I sat in the north end of the west upper years back and couldn’t hear much of the band. I’m thinking other end might be better but willdefer to others on that.

Also, it gets chilly up there on windy evenings. Layer.

—Food. The food outside the stadium (at tailgates) is superior. The food inside the stadium (for sale) is not good.

—Tailgates. I’d think people here would really like PennState fans. Wear white PennState gear and just introduce yourself to people at tailgates. You’ll be stuffed silly and drunk as cooter brown by the time you get to the game.

—Timing. Certain things happen at certain times. Sports information will put out a schedule a day or two before. Gameday will likely be there so Campus is going to be insanely crowded, particularly if they set up by the PMac. I’ve gotten to the point that I don’t even try to watch the band march down the hill because of crowds.

—Tiger baiting. If you want to be adopted by families in Louisiana, point to Bama fans you encounter and start a “Tiger Bait” chant.

—Calling Baton Rouge. Learn the words. By heart.

—Down cheers and traditions. It would be fun to learn these. Most will be obvious. Hey tRanters, can somebody link them to a list of cheers? Surely somebody has written those down.

-Tiger habitat. Go see Mike. Go early. It will get insanely crowded over there a couple of hours before game time.

It’s an experience non pareil, and it should be ungodly for this game. Glad you are coming.

For this one time trip, try to find tickets in the bowl. You'll be blown away in the upper decks still I'm sure, but you'll be missing out on the full experience.

If you hate bama then stand up and scream every time they have the ball. We don’t hold back down here.

Also swing by the Indian mounds and look for a Hawiaan shirt. I’ll give you a beer and some food

Pace yourself. Between all the spicy food (if you’re not used to it) and the alcohol, you could be lights out before the game starts.

YouTube has some great videos of our fans and songs. I agree with Judge that you need to learn Calling Baton Rouge. It’s very cool how we do that.
