Zach Hess: He was great as a freshmen. He’s been pretty below average since then. Reminds me a lot of Matty Ott. LSU’s pitching staff has ruined 2 great young closers with their cute little shenanigans of trying to make a natural closer, more than just a closer.
That being said, if LSU loses 2 of 3 to this Florida State team, Pawl needs to go. Florida State has choked 40 straight years and this 2019 team isn’t even as good as the others.
I’ll hang up and listen.

Florida State is hot right now. They just took out Georgia. I missed the game due to a baseball tournament for my kid but 6-4 sounds like a close game to me and you can’t win them all. I have faith we take the next two.

Hess came to LSU as a starter. He began his career at LSU as a starter as well.

It was immediately evident he was not starter material and he was a tremendous closer as a freshman though..

More lucky then they are being hot. Lucky that we have a pitching staff that walked 10 fricking batters, 4 of them leadoff, and 3 of them scored. 2 baserunning errors that would have scored at least one run. That isn't Florida St. being hot, that is LSU beating themselves.

IF we lose tomorrow CPM will have had his arse handed to him in 3 out 4 straight supers. 2-5 as of now. We need a new hitting coach, new pitching coach this year and probably a new Head Coach next year.

Why wait? Fire his arse right now. LSU fan are owed perfect seasons. That would serve as a warning to the coaches in all sports.

Well let's look at it realistically....
FSU two pitchers used.. arguably haven't even used their best pitchers yet.
LSU can't touch a bag to close the game out. Hung up on another throw to ruin a inning.
LSU has literally thrown everyone of it's best pitchers tonight.
FSU pitcher comes in hitting the back stop and we pinch hit for someone who shouldn't be starting at BRCC and what do we do??? First pitch pop up.
Did I mention we have no left handed pitchers and have a guy starting that is a .90O.chance of being an out....
But we love Pawl and will hug Martin for his great games tomorrow after the game
