I’ve been going back to see if any other HC in school history had wins against LSU at the time of taking the job and I got far enough back where schedules became harder to find. I could keep digging but was curious about this.

Might be a first.

Mike Donahue coached Auburn from 1904-06 and again from 1908-22 before coming to LSU. While at Auburn he played us three times, losing in 1908 and winning in 1912and 1913.

Orgeron and Brent Schaeffer nearly got one when we laid an egg in 2006 against a terrible Ole Miss team. Russell hit Bowe with 14 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

It was garbage performances like that (and scoring 3 points against Auburn, and shitting the bed in Gainesville) that make the 2006 LSU team not exactly as great as people now claim.
