Hey tiger fans! My college buddies and I have been doing an annual college football trip. Being in our mid 30s and with kids, we look forward to these dude weekends. This is year two for us and we’re excited to check out LSU this weekend.
Does anyone have any must sees things or best bars to check out?
Is anyone having a tailgate that they’d be willing to invite us to show us a good ole tailgate? We are not looking to freeload and would pitch in $ and/or booze. We’re just looking to talk to some tiger fans, drink some beers, and check out the tailgate/game day atmosphere.
We appreciate any recommendations or invites.
Geaux Tigers!

You'll wanna show up early and see the band come down victory hill, that's always pretty cool.
Mike's habitat is pretty neat if you haven't seen it before.
Honestly, I enjoy hanging out at tailgates more than going to bars on gameday. Food will be great, sure to be lots of people cooking gator on Saturday. Make sure y'all are good and full before you go in the game because concessions are dogshite tbh.
You'll definitely want to get in the stadium early enough to watch pregame. Callin' Baton Rouge is usually electric for a big game. Of course the band just prior to kickoff is gooosebumps as well.

What's the parking situation like? Any recommendations?

Thanks for Joe Burrow, by the way
On gameday, just wear your OSU gear, walk up to any tailgate that looks good, and tell them what you told us. You'll be welcomed with open arms.

And be sure to mention loudly and often how you acknowledge that Joe Burrow may have gone to school at Ohio State for a time but played football and became a legend at LSU

Get there early. There are free lots close to the baseball stadium (Golf Course, Hayfield), but it'll be a walk. I think the Old Front Nine is still free, and closer to the stadium.

Haha you’re welcome. That one still stings.
Our group tries to blend is as best as possible so we don’t ruffle local feathers. One of our guys is unfortunately a Michigan fan. He didn’t do any advanced scouting of the LSU tailgate situation like we’d expect.

I would try the churches along Dalrymple on your way into campus. $20 cash, pretty convenient if you don’t mind about a 15-20 min walk

Where do you live? Did you go to OSU? You’ll have a great time as this should be a hell of a game.

We’re all from northwest Ohio but one of the group decided to recently move to Charlotte. We are a mix of University of Toledo (#MACtion) Grads and one Notre Dame guy.

That would be an amazing coincidence haha. Are you from my area?

There is a grocery store on campus, Matherne's, that has anything to drink you would want, as well as cheap ice chests.
But as others said, wear your school colors and go with the flow, someone will invite you in and feed you.
