Yamin can't hit. Josh Jordan didnt even mention him as an option in a recent interview

I haven’t really formed an opinion, or at least not a strong one.

I see people constantly talk about the kid as if he is going to great, and compete for a starting role, and I just don’t see where this opinion comes from. That’s why I asked “what don’t I know?”

Maybe he is great… I don’t know, I just haven’t seen it.

He has the ability to mash baseballs. Will K some, but also walk plenty

arrambide is the highest rated catcher i kn9w of to get to campus and he hit well this year ,not to mention improved behind the plate to the point that he could start a game every weekend towards the end of the year.

im as positive that he starts next year at catcher as I am about curiel starting

if Jay did have questions about Arrambide, he wouldn’t have been letting him catch every other conference game the backend of the season.

I think Arambide moves to the RF. Brown and Curiel are the other two.
probably not going to happen especially if Patrick or Moss make it campus.

Serna will be worked in slowly like Cade was this year but Cade will be the #1 catcher the next two years. Yamin bat is nowhere near as good as Arrambide.

Jacob Pearson was drafted in the 3rd round and made it to AAA. Josh is a career .263 hitter with 27 HR’s and 129 rbi. John batted 4 points lower than Arrambide with 40 less at bats, and JJ believes Arrambide will be the best player in the program. Anyways, the Pearsons seem to have produced better baseball players than most families ever will.

John Pearson reminds me of Bob Horner who played 3B for the Braves and once hit 4 HRs in a game.

If Yamin couldn’t even crack a single at bat this year, why would he be the favorite to play 1st base for the best program in baseball? Not hating on the guy but what gives?

Between Yamin’s 2024 Cape season & LSU’s spring & fall scrimmages, he K’d 38% of the time. He will have to vastly improve. Instead of starting summer ball & getting reps, he choose to travel to Omaha. Can’t blame him, but also he kinda needs reps after not playing all season.,
