Just now on his radio show. He said Hap really helped his career.

Finebaum also said Bama vs LSU game will be at night

Georgia vs LSU is sounding like a 230 start .

Hap is a legend.

Why does nobody mention “Happy talk”.

Even Finbaum.

Hap invented “Happy talk”

Most people on this board won’t know because of their age.

Years ago news and sports broadcasts were very stiff and straight forward.

Hap has a lot to do with introducing the banter and conversations between TV news shows.

A Top ranked UGA visiting a hot as fire LSU squad but still underdogs??? That brings back memories of LSU vs UGA 2003...

that was the best game this tiger fan has ever attended. Straight Bedlam in TS at a hot as balls 2:30 kick and the stadium was bonkers pretty much the whole game.

Postman yes sir #11 LSU and #7 Georgia that was a good one. David Greene was their qb and we put it on them in the Heat!

Hap's life story should be made into a movie. I spent a lot of evenings with my ear to the radio (WWL) listening to Hap talk sports.

An unbelievable interception by Corey Webster in that game...

Just about everyone is old enough to remember Buddy D’s ‘Point After’ show following Saints games on WWL, but it was originally Hap’s Point After.

Hap was a great guy, NOLA sports radio and tv legend, and was involved in just about everything on the local sports scene. He was even once on a episode of Gunsmoke, I think.

Hap was a gem of a man. I never met anyone who would say a negative word about him. Had a great sense of humor. They don't make sports journalists like him and Buddy D anymore.Truly objective reporters

To be honest Hap sucked, he spent most of his minutes on boxing, horse racing and golden wedding anniversaries then popular sports.

If he wouldn't have been local he would have been recognized as garbage as a media host.

Getting Jim Henderson to replace him was the best thing that ever happened in local sports.

Heard him. Couldn't string a sentence or clear thought together.
I really love when someone just states, "well, Auburn IS the better team. You know that" with no chance of being correct.

I’m sure they must seem like a good team from his perspective.

Yes sir! I am soooo glad I was at that game. For a low scoring game is was loud, edge of your seat shite the entire game.
