The Threat to the SEC: He warned that if the SEC pushes forward with removing the founding member, "I and a lot of other people in the United States Congress will be on them like a hobo on a ham sandwich." Fellow Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy also criticized the conference for what he called clear hypocrisy regarding eligibility enforcement.

“Bone deep down to the marrow stupid,” Kennedy said on Tuesday. “I’ve got rocks in my driveway that are smarter than that. They’re not going to throw LSU out of the SEC. Let me tell you something, I and a lot of other people in the United States Congress will be on them like a hobo on a ham sandwich. LSU hasn’t done anything wrong. It’s called a court of law. God made courts to decide disputes.”

So we have so far:

It’s not fun when the rabbit has the gun.

Served like a cup of cold gumbo,

We will be on them like a hobo on a ham sandwich

And they want to kick us out???

We do have some very high level important people in DC. LSU is the golden political ticket here, if you stay silent and let the sec harm LSU then kiss your election good bye. You side with LSU and you are elected for life.

The sec would have been more likely to be able to remove us if there wasn’t as much money tied up in college athletics as there is now. You can’t have a rogue commissioner or one listening to some dumb dyke harm the economy of the state.

Big ups to Cassidy and especially Kennedy who never even attended LSU if I’m correct. BUT where is the speaker of the house and the house majority leader on this? They are both supposedly Tigers.

If you’re feeling froggy then jump.
Or something like that.

Unfortunately, if they WANTED to get really picky with his words, he said LSU went to court and got an order saying they could take the players. That's one of the things LSU had been stressing they did not do. The players went to court to restore their eligibility. The attorney added that nobody, but specifically LSU, since that's where they were planning to go, could be penalized for rostering them.

Semantics, but it's an important distinction

Well we all know Cassidy understands perfectly what hypocrisy is so that settles that.

All I have seen so far are the Republicans from Louisiana make comments in favor of LSU. Haven't seen anything from the Democratic members...
