I've answered it too many times. If you don't know what the difference is in recruiting players to LSU in 1995 and 2015
I don't k ow what to tell you

Nobody freaking lost. We got a great decade of football with a great man. No we get to see what someone else can do.

Is it more important to recruit 5 stars or need? I have no idea what were ruined that year but maybe, just maybe we recruited linemen and not as many skill players that get you a higher ranking

Of course. I forgot that a 5 star dlineman gets more than a 5 star wr.
Please explain why texas doesnt recruit itself as well as lsu. Why doesnt usc?
Maybe 5-10 recruits a year come to lsu because its lsu.

Its funny how the only people that say miles isnt an elite recruiter ate miles haters.

LSU didn't recruit itself.

We wouldn't have suffered through Archer Hallman if it did.

It's certainly easier to recruit at LSU than many places.

But you can't sit in your office and wait for calls

That's exactly the way most of the Miles bashers felt. It didn't matter if the team won a game in a blowout or if the win was ugly. There was always a plethora or people posting on here with the sole purpose to bad mouth Miles. shite, they're still on here bashing Miles and he's not even the coach anymore.

All you need for evidence of what I said is to find the post on page 1 or 2 where the numbskull said he knew he wasn't going to like Miles after the 05 Tennessee game. Seriously? His second game as the head coach! After Katrina and everything the team had to go through the month before the season started.

I realize the past few years have been rough, but a lot of you people never gave the man a chance.

He was. He turned OSU into a respectable program. Before he got there they had 1 winning season from 1987-2002.

That's great... BUT He had the benefit of Saban brining LSU to a top 5 program...... I DO NOT CARE what Saban's record was while he was here... He put LSU on the MAP way better than ANY coach before him....

if you think Les Miles isn't responsible for this, you are clueless...but you know, don't reference the facts and stuff posted before no need to be angry anymore bro...les is gone, LSU's future is uncertain but hopefully very bright!

You are a huge dumbass if you give the credit to miles. I'm guessing you are in your 20's or mildly retarded

If lsu recruits itself then we shouldve always brought in talent at lsu. Not had mass exodus like the 90's.

Whether you want to believe it or not we have had 3 really good recruiters at HC in a row. Of course saban was the best but thats doesnt make miles any less of a great recruiter.

How bad has our passing game been?
And miles still got 5 star wr after 5 star wr to committ.if thats doesnt prove it then you just refuse to see it.

I give up. I don't understand why you can't say Les Miles was a great recruiter when facts and stuff are posted proving just this. I don't know how you think that just because LSU is now in 2015 instead of 1995 justifies saying "LSU recruits itself". You must really hate Miles. I've never heard anyone not be willing to admit that he was a great recruiter. Why doesn't Notre Dame, USC, Texas, Miami, eff even Alabama in the 2000s recruit itself. Good god man. Are their recruiting advantages. Hell yea there are. Have we always taken advantage of them. Hell no we haven't. Does that mean LSU recruits itself? Hell no it doesn't.

ANd the fact that miles was able to recruit top 25 classes to ok state during his four years there when they had 1!!!! winning season the ten years prior...nah man...he only gets players to LSU bc its LSU.

Your record is what makes you a top 5 program. Please explain how 1 top 5 finish in over 2 decades makes lsu a top 5 program?

Agreed. That in of itself doesnt mean he left lsu as a top 5 program.
We were better than we had been in 50 years. In no way does that mean we were a top 5 program.

Our top players were leaving the state in 80's and 90's. We would have never gotten a LF back then, it was rare to get great players from NOLA.We win 2 national titles. Had a coach upgrade our facilities and get buildings built (all to impress recruits) and not to mention the changes in how most games are televised now have made LSU much more appealing to in state recruits.

Well. I was a major anti Miles guy but I was anti Miles because I'm pro LSU.

He's gone. I've no more reason to worry about him.

That's like continuing to complain about the girlfriend you dumped after you dump her.

If you want to be in a shitty mood thinking about how awful she was, ya might as well have stayed with her

I've always said miles was a good recruiter. I have never said he couldn't recruit. I just think his greatness is overblown and believe many coaches can come
Here and get great recruits. Why are you positigers so negative about LSU? The playing fields with ND, Mich,USC, etc have leveled
