I don’t get the feeling their pitcher is invincible. If we are seeing the ball like we have been this postseason, we’ll be okay.

If she can just keep it up. I think this will be a very low scoring game

Can't understand the slap swinging. You could see the ball better if you weren't running toward the pitcher. Also they all know its coming and all play up close.

Okay we’re getting the bat on the ball. Second time through the order maybe we’ll get some hits.

I think the problem is, we depend on it too much. I admit, we’ve done a lot better in the postseason as part of our general hitting resurgence. But I think Andrews and Briggs should be the only slappers.

And yes, Briggs for instance—there’s so many “moving parts” in her slapping style. Put bat in bunting position. Pull bat back. Take step back. Run forward. Swing. I mean, when can you concentrate on hitting the ball?

All the bitching about slappers, Andrews and Briggs are hitting way better then all the swing away hitters.

I don't think it should be a heavy offensive component but having a couple in a lineup isn't a big deal to me. Briggs swing and slaps, she is more versatile hitter.
