BK was probably unhappy if it escalated after the coaches tried to shut it down. Inside I’m sure he liked the fire. Can’t be brawling once the season starts and get handed some league suspensions if you’re trying to win a ship.

Wonder who trash talked first?

Malik & Kyren probably told Perkins he’s not from LA, he’s from Texas

Two receivers got sent off. My guess is Denver Harris wouldn’t shut up and Malik and Kyren decided to shut him up. Perkins was likely coming over to defend his fellow defensive player.

Just a guess.

That's right, it was that 6'8" DE that big dick Burrow knocked out. I think his name was Trindon Holliday.

Kelly is playing chess. You send your star wideout and another starter at WR to the locker room to prove that you’re a hard arse everyone on this team gets disciplined. You also get to find out which young receivers will step up when their name gets called. The man knows which buttons to press.

Too bad "shutting him up" resulted in both of them losing reps for the rest of the practice and would cost the team dearly in a game situation.

That was the same day that Les Miles roasted Moscona in the after practice press conference.

I like this. BK knows what he’s doing with calling out leadership. This is a nothingburger, if anything it makes your team step up and accept the challenge. Keep in mind, that’s a lot of testerone practicing in 110 degree weather. Tempers are gonna flare

There will be fans who say “this is the energy needed”, but Brian Kelly didn’t see it that way.

His message to the team: it’s a lack of leadership from the players.

So his pick for #18 was in the middle of it?

I wouldn't even be worried about that but Kelly is right. You want your team to have an edge but every year, we see teams lose really important games on something stupid and undisciplined. I.E. throwing a shoe. Hell, if Vadal doesn't shove that guy from Bama, an Anthony Jennings led LSU team likely beats Bama in 2014.

Our HS basketball coach sent a few of us to the locker room after a skirmish or two. No broken bones just a little blood spatter.

We won the state championship as well as a 4-state regional of champions that year.

This bodes well for the Tigers IMO...

I love it- means they don’t like to get beat on even a practice play.

Happens a lot with athletes at that level- very competitive.

This is not unusual. Fights on the field happen all the time. Just means we have some quality and competitive players. Good sign. BK will handle it. Wind sprints coming after practice.

I like how the story gets better each year. Next year burrow will have put him in the hospital. The next year, life support.

My high school football coach said it the best:

"We are a team ... we do not engage in fights with each other. Save your fighting vigor for this week's game."

I once heard Joe Burrow picked a fight with a bear… the bear was found dead 3 days later
