Maybe he figured that going with his brothers was the best for him, power 5 conference school and all. Go figure, huh?

LSU will have only 2 or 3 DL in 2018 with game experience unless all 3 freshmen play this year, which i doubt.

If anything it's another body with experience which we'll desperately need

He's got:
- coachability and a desire to be coached up
- the frame
- a heck of a twitch
- a goal: the NFL
- it looks like with some coaching the potential for very good feet, hands, and balance

LSU has:
- two very good DL coaches
- very good S&C
- NFL track record
- SEC competition
- A need for DL

This is a match, hence some backbone for the hype.

Apparently.

These are the stats for the player whom many believe will be the first pick in this year's NFL draft.

Well first of all defensive tackles are not going to have huge numbers. He was the best player on that defense as an underclassman playing as an undersized DT and getting double teamed with much less coaching than he will have at lsu. In our 3 / 4 he should be a perfect defensive end and should provide a ton of playing time for us if not start for 2 years

He counts against 2017, so hes a free player and an added bonus to an already stud class.

As a transfer wouldn't he just count against the overall 85-scholly limit and not really be tied to any recruiting class #'s???

Thanks for sharing the interview link.

VERY impressive kid. Mature, well spoken, and motivated with a clear vision what he wants and how to get there.

Now some of the mouthbreathing idiots in this thread need to actually LSITEN to the kid speak before continuing to spew out asinine comments. It's all laid out very clearly in the interview.

Sounds very mature. He is going to be a great addition to our program.

power 5 conference school

Texas tech isn't rated in the top 20 of power 5 schools.

Again, raise the question of "why there".
