Its kind of hard to want a player that's not committed to the program regardless of his talent level.
Give the kid a break, he is extremely talented everyone saw that last year! I hope he does come back.

I think that would set a bad precedent with the rest of the team.
This is why you let the team make the decision. If the kid shows he may want to come back then you allow the leaders of your team to get with the rest and have them make a decision. If they want him back then bring him back but he is in the depth chart behind the walk Ons to start.

I'm guessing some kind of suspension must be part of all this.
I’m thinking a suspension is the reason he went back in the transfer portal. I’m also thinking all the coaches that may have been interested have called someone they know on this LSU staff and asked why the player that played as a freshman at a position that is limited on experienced depth would want to transfer. The answer may have spooked a lot of coaches.

I would remind myself that he is like 19 years old and a lot of 19 year-olds have a long way to go to be mature. If Coach O and Aranda wanted him back, I would be happy to have him back.

Would love to have him back. He’d obviously have to work his way back up the depth chart but he’s a talented kid that would play a lot and would ease any concerns about depth at CB.

He's a kid and no telling who is giving him advise. If the coaches take him back I hope he finds success here.

I want him to come back as well, it's just difficult to pull for a guy who can't buy in to the program because he's not the guaranteed starter or whatever his issue is/was.

If he comes back, which seems really doubtful considering what transpired, I hope he does well, although there will be serious doubt over him for a while before he makes up for what he's done. Doesnt really sound like they would allow him back, or if so, he'd be on a long suspension from the hints people have dropped.

From everything what insiders have said, it had extremely little to do with depth chart and almost all off-field stuff.

No one on the board knows what went down completely. O said something in an interview about entitled players. Always wondered if this was Joseph. I don’t have a link or know if it was preseason or media days.
My guess is there will be a serious come to Jesus meeting if he gets another chance. I hope he grows up a little either way. I made a few bad decisions at that age. Hope it works out as well for him.

Feelings if Kelvin Joseph returns?
First: He needs to grow the F up. Someone beats you out or whatever the case, you don't quit and give-up. You work harder, you get busy learning how to get better. Second: Some form of disciplinary action needs to be taken. If for no other reason than to send a message to other players there will be consequence's if they decide to leave the team and come back. Third: I'd throw my arms around him and welcome him back by killing the fatted calf. I'd tell him we really need him this season and he will be vital to the success of this team. Fourth: I'd be relieved.

Connect dots.
Missed bowl game, rumor was a failed drug test.
Was likely tested multiple times and if he failed again, that's likely a longer suspension.
If he is allowed back he would have to miss game time for sure if it's nothing more than playing time or passed by a freshman on the depth chart.

Never hurts to have depth. If he earns a roster spot I’m fine with him back. If he doesn’t, well... it doesn’t matter.

Will root for every Tiger. Just hope that he would have learned that the grass is not always greener.

He just needs to keep walking! Once you turn your back on the team, you will do it again!
