Anthony Jennings proved more in the SEC then Danny did in the Big Ten.

Maybe, but Jennings was pretty average at best at QB and I am being kind by saying that.

These are all the qualities of a successful starting QB according to the ramp. He is the backup so he is the best option at all times.

I don't disagree with you. But I just don't see where Danny has proven to be a better option than what Jennings provided.

Thank you

The only objective evidence is Etling sucks against B10 defenses, AJ sucked against SEC defenses.

That's probably because the only opp he has had to prove himself was in a spring game 4 months ago.

No one with an IQ above 50 can honestly say you feel good about Harris's progression but apprehensive of Etlings after that game.

To me, neither looked above avg.

Here's the thing, chief. Harris isn't even the subject of this thread. The subject is how Danny is better than Anthony. Based on what? There is nothing prove that.

AJ isn't even here anymore.
Who cares ?

Harris and etling are the relevant ones on this team.

Not really. Maybe if he transferred to a place like Illinois it would mean something.

But since you drug Harris into the conversation, his game against Florida last year is better than anything either Danny or Anthony Jennings has ever shown. It doesn't matter, Harris is the starter, clearly. Danny is the back up, and Anthony plays for ull.

He's not "trying to make the team", he left to be a starting QB.

For reference, the last Big Ten transfer QB we had was Rob Bolden, who also had a not so hot freshman season. He ended up at Eastern Michigan.

I'm not saying Etling will be a bad QB by any means, I think he's one of the better backup options in the SEC. I'm just saying you can't point to his time at Purdue to say he is going to be definitively better than what we've seen at LSU the last couple of years.

Purdue was awful. I want QB I don't care if he is black and white stripes all over. We haven't had one since Mett.

Dude earned starting job with a shitty Big 10 team yes but also was a 4 star when recruited he must have some sort of talent. As far as his interviews the dude sounds like he knows what's up and looks confident when and if he plays.

Plus I didn't think he looked all that bad in spring game

Jennings was also a 4 star and did the QB camps etc etc.

It means nothing. Etling will be a serviceable backup sure, but nothing he has shown, including his spring game performance against 5'6" walk-on DBs, has proven him to be better than any other QB on the roster.

I don't give a rats arse who's in the minority or majority, I just want the best QB LSU has to start and win games. He can be red, white and brown for all I care, Jesus Christ, get the f... over the racial bullshite. If they are practicing together and take classes at LSU then they are Tigers!
I just hope they both excel this year and for the rest of their lives, Geaux Tigers!

Etling is the kind of kid you want your daughter to bring home for dinner. Unlike some of our more recent QBs, AM I RITE?!

Man, long gone are the days of Russell/Flynn/Perilloux

Now it's: average at LSU/terrible at Purdue/don't know but probably the best QB on the team

we have no idea yet.

if we were in practices, we would know already if he has a clue or touch, or not.

If he is even close, he should play two series in the non-P5 games. Whole 4th quarter if up by 17 or more.
