Boo. I still remember him taking a punt into our end zone with two guys on him, and running it back 102 yards. He had 2 that game.

People can post stats all they want but what doesn’t show was Eddie Kennison was so dangerous they literally quit kicking to him by mid season. Skyler was very good but not on Eddies level.

Todd Kinchen was electric in the open field. So, probably him. He was also a fun bright spot in some pretty drab years for our Tigers.

Trindon was fantastic, but I can't go with favorite because he struggled with fielding punts. Loved him on KO returns, though.

Tommy Casanova was one of the all time best. He was just a superb athlete.

Old timers will also remember Carl Otis Trimble. He was terrific, but sadly died while trying to save someone from drowning. He was a touchdown waiting to happen every time he touched the ball.

I used you data and computed an average. I feel an average yards per attempt is a better barometer. Before the days of high powered offenses, I feel Joe Labruzzo's 21.5 average stands tall. Sorry about the formatting.

Name Average
Tre' Davious White 22.16
Joe Labruzzo 21.47
Trindon Holliday 15.05
Sklyer Green 13.82
Eddie Kennison 12.63
Domanick Davis 11.98
Sammy Grezaffi 11.46
Kevin Faulk 11.26
Norman Jefferson 7.65

Most exciting player to watch return punts that wasn’t wearing #7.

Kevin Faulk for me, although I have my own personal bias with Faulk. Guys we've had in my lifetime, or at least since I began following sports in the early 90s, that you thought may take it to the house every time they touched the ball (I guess excluding players who didn't wear #7) were Kevin Faulk, Skyler Green, Trindon Holliday and Eddie Kennison. Domanick Davis was a good one as well, but I think he's a step behind those four guys. Tommy Casanova was before my time, but he definitely deserves a mention as well.

Since you removed PP7 and TM7, I would have to go with Holiday or Green in my lifetime.

I knew he was the first black QB at LSU but had no idea he returned punts too.

you can even see Saban mouth "bullsh*t call"

I'm now officially high-key irked about that '02 season...should have finished a whole lot better than getting it handed to us by Mack Brown, Roy Williams & Co.

I always liked how the stadium would start celebrating the TD early once the defender was about horizontal with him. Everyone knew they had no chance.

Well, you can thank Saban for that. Even with that arse kicking at the hand of Va Tech to start the season, we were like 8th in the first BCS poll released and 6-1 after blowing out Florida. But Saban, for whatever reason, thought it was a good idea to have Mauck in the game late in the 4th quarter with a 30ish point lead. He breaks his foot, Marcus Randall comes in, we finish the season 2-4 with one of those wins coming on the Bluegrass Miracle and the other an ugly 1 point win over 7-6 Ole Miss. We also lost the West on the Miracle at Markham play against Arkansas the last game of the season.

If Mauck never gets hurt, no question we win the West in 2002. Alabama was the best team in the West that year but were on probation.

More than that. It was against Auburn in 2007. Perrilloux fumbled the ball, was scooped up by Auburn, Trindon then came from about 20 yards across the field to tackle the Auburn defender at the 2. Unfortunately, it was all for not, as Auburn scored a TD three plays later. But that was an incredible effort by Holliday for sure.
