I love wearing the P&G outside the state more than in it. Especially in SEC states.

Seattle is going to awesome with all the P&G we'll be seeing there.

I live half the time in Baton Rouge and half the time near Gulfport. I wear a lot of LSU stuff in MS because I'm one of the few Coastians who actually attends there.

I never wore USM stuff when I went there, though. Too embarassed.

I could not disagree with you more. I wear LSU stuff all the time, and I love it. When I leave the country, my LSU gear goes with me. I worked really hard for my LSU degrees, and I am really proud of my school. In my opinion, I'm an ambassador for LSU everywhere I go, especially when I'm in a far away state or foreign country.

Winning football championships helps to elevate the national awareness of LSU, which helps graduates get jobs, which, in turn, helps make our degrees worth more. In a much smaller way, I do the same thing by wearing my LSU gear with pride everywhere I go.

Being in Bham I rock PnG every chance I get. Fridays are casual at work, so I wear an LSU T. Aubies and Bammers alike, hate, but that only encourages me. My wife frowns on my son wearing LSU gear to school, because she feels he gets picked on too much, but he is wearing his LSU Baseball Nat Championship shirt the first day this year.

I travel alot and wear LSU gear in airports and hotels, just in case there is a fellow Louisanian out there. Also, I like to believe in some small way I am doing my part for the program since I am not wealthy and can't donate much in the way of money.

I never wear LSU stuff. Only hicks do that.

I only wear Lacoste and Ed Hardy shirts and $200 jeans that have shite embroidered on the arse.

If you don't dress like this, then you are not cool in my opinion.

I think every school with a major football program has their fair share of these types of fans. I for one don't see anything wrong with it in most cases. I do get kind of concerned with the folks that think that their whole self worth is based on their assocatition to an athletic program at an institution of higher learning. For example do you know folks that not only adorn themselves in university apparrel but also their kids, pets, office and personal property such as autos, house, lawn, etc...? Every year they send out Christmas cards that oozes of "hey look at us, we are bigger ___________ fans than you are"... These folks can get kind of annoying.

Last year I ran into to two former LSU football players in the ESPN Zone in NYC the day of the Mississippi State game. They spotted me with my LSU wear. We ended up watching some of the game together and talking about how it was back in the day (I was in school with one of the guys)--not just for the team, but the school as a whole. Good times.

Not to stereotype, but those are usually some of the ones that don't really know much of anything about what's really going on.

This has to be one of the dumbest threads ever...Some folks must be truly bored to be watching what other guys wear so much.

When not going to work, I wear LSU t-shirts alot, I also wear 4-H t-shirts alot 'cause I'm a voluntary livestock leader. As for caps, when I'm leaving the house and not going to work or church, I'm wearing a hat...Sometimes it's LSU, sometimes it's LA Dodgers, and others, it may be an old cap to work in.

I do wear LSU gear when on vacation. What can I say, I'm an LSU Tiger fan and am proud of it. That doesn't have anything to do with me thinking I'm a bigger fan than anyone else, just that I'm a fan.

I'll be camping on Lake Claiborne on September 5th, wearing my LSU hat and shirt while I'm sitting under my LSU canopy watching the game...and I will have my LSU banner up as well.

So sue me.

Some people can over do it and I am sure it is the same with any fan base. I had my LSU tent at the beach this year in Pensacola simply because it is the only tent I own.

I always wear an LSU shirt to work on Friday's before game days because it helps to fire me up for the weekend. These Texas fans here, including the sports talk radio, just don't seem to get that fired up about it as I am use to. They care a lot more about the Astro's, Texans and Rockets than UT.

Here on the Gulf Coast, on game day LSU Fans seem to wear there colors more than the "lesser schools".

IMO alot of fans(all schools) refrain from wearing there colors out at sports bars on game day because they don't want to risk embarrasement if they lose. (aka Band Wagoning). As the season progresses, the more they lose the less they wear their colors.

Others like us wear the colors win or lose and are not affected by wins or loses.

All this being said this thread is starting to sound silly.

are not band-wagoners, nor are they posers. God bless 'em. They know the number one college sports program in the land, the flagship University of the state, and they are proud of it.

Buncha cissies worrying about what other men are wearing.

Wear what you want and stop acting like a damn woman judging every other woman by her clothes.

This thread would be more at home at LINK or something.

Thank God for LSU Football and Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium.
