Let's say 100 % of the fans agree that Lee shouldn't play. Now, if Miles is the only person on Earth that thinks he should play, then you support him in this decision?
Do you honestly believe that because he has made a decision that it is better than what any fan could think to do. Do you not believe that many wonderful coaches would side with the fan on this one. All coaches make different decisions because they are not rocket scientists that are flawless in their decision making. There is no formula to making the right calls all of the time.
The point is, sometimes the fans are right and the coach is wrong. Sometimes criticism by fans does eventually lead a coach to try something new, and that something new may be just what the fans wanted. And, believe it or not, sometimes that new decision is for the better.
I don't understand how you can put football coaches on a pedestal and make comments that imply that the fans are always wrong so the coach should not ever do what the fans would like for them to do.
In 2002, after the VaTech game, a majority of the fans wanted Saban to bench Mauck and play Randall, cause Mauck was not a good quarterback who couldn't complete passes, threw interceptions, and couldn't manage a game.
Who was right: the fans or Saban?

I'm with you cubby. I'll take a good loss over a bad win any day. In fact, let me go 0-12 with good losses and I will be one satsified fan.....as long as the coach listens to my input, that is.
you are so dumb.

Go back and read all of my posts in this thread to cubby. If he can be dumb then I can reply back with dumb responses, as noted by St. Nich.

How about if the fans elect a board that can just run the whole show. The hell with paid coaches, we'll have a committee that can run the practices, prepare a game plan, and call the plays! A team of the people, by the people...
The fans didn’t want our 2nd string QB to play, the one that took all the snaps in practice with the first team all week, the one that played most of last season, and the one that understands the entire offense. Instead they wanted to play a guy who’s a good runner! Let’s run the ball every play! And if JJ can’t play against Ole Miss, let’s run the ball every play against them. Oh wait, the fans know that RS can throw the ball well, and understands the offense because they’ve all been watching practice all year! It’s the coaches that don’t know what’s going on. Brilliant!

So Miles doesn't like booing, and even though he's stubborn, he's just going to change because he hears a bunch of LSU "fans" booing him in the middle of a game? I don't see how you think that correlates...
It correlates because he is a ranter, and don't you ever fricking dare question him again.

I am not believing how many of you or so naive ie. "stupid " to think that any football coach would change his philosophy because some immature fan is booing. How do you think you the fan is paying this salary. How much do you contribute to Taf??? How some consideraton for the player.

Better yet, we should have a fan raffle where the winner gets to coach one of the games.
But seriously, if the coach made decisions based on the fans reactions, we would be throwing hail marys every play b/c they are "entertaining".

If the coach hears 75% of the crowd booing something that isn't working, he should make an adjustment.
so the coach should make game day decisions based on what the dumbass fan base thinks?

if you want to boo a college player....stick a knife in the wall(facing you) and run into it
if you want to boo a coach....go do a better job than him(contrary to your belief he actually has a reason for everything he does, and it is in the best interest of the LSU football team)

I, and 75% of paying fans, disagree with you guys and think it is okay to boo Miles to show him that we don't like what he is doing.
so did you pull that number out of your arse like the rest of the statement, or what?
and while we are here, and in every thread like this for the entire season, how exactly is anyone on the field going to know that you want to boo the coaching staff? are you going to hold up a sign that says "no not the players, the coaches, boo them!" or what? booing is booing on the field, you can't single someone out. so don't do it period.

I want Miles to listen to the fans. I think he has a duty to win games and entertain the fans. He has done a shitty job of the latter and hasn't won the big games this year.
Some people argue that he is the coach and he knows best so we have to always trust that he is making the right decision. When most of the paying fanbase doesn't want Lee in the game, he should not play Lee. I understand that Lee needed to start the game, but Miles should have pulled him. Unfortunately, Miles ignores the fans only does what he wants to do.
You seem to think the fans know more than Miles. His job is to win games at LSU not listen to piccalo players like you.
Did booing help you when you played?

I just want to bring this back up because I got blasted for saying that sometimes the fans are smarter than a dumbass coach. Sometimes the fans even have the right ideas when a good coach is clueless. I never said he should hear boos and change his plays during a game. What he should do is recognize that the fans are pissed that he is making some terrible decisions and he should rethink some of them. Still, I am okay with booing Miles (or any college or pro head coach) when I believe they are making the same terrible decisions over and over and over.
