LSU needs to hire him in some capacity in the athletics department.

3. Ryan Clark, 9+ (2002-Present)
6. Bradie James, 8+ (2003-Present)
etc.
The 15 lengthiest pro (NFL/AFL) careers for retired guys if I'm doing this correctly (and I've made mistakes trying to compile this before LINK LINK LINK)...

What would he do?

Gert H. 43 has the right idea--Faneca would definitely be a welcome addition and an upgrade over the current OL coach. I would doubt that he is interested at this time, however.

Dude used to destroy D-Linemen in the trenches.

Doc, let's not forget Ryan Clark. He's been in the league since going undrafted in 2002.

Funny story about Faneca...
He actually went to my high school, Lamar Consolidated down in southwest houston. Our only other good player ever was Quizz Rodgers, just got drafted by the falcons. AF's mom was a math teacher while I was there, too. I never had her, but people told me she was a complete hag.
IDK if it's still that way, but as long as I could remember he put new orleans as his hometown on LSU and NFL records. Our school was/is literally THAT CRAPPY: anyone who made it out would never claim it.
Honestly, I don't blame him.

Jarvis Jones from Lamar Consolidated had potential. But he was booted from the LSU squad and transferred to Oklahoma, where he tore his patella tendon this spring. He'll likely miss half of his senior year.

All-time great Tiger and pro.
Wished one of you ranters with the capability and a copy of the '97 UF game would upload the play where he pancakes one of UF's vaunted DL. I'm sure we'd all enjoy seeing it again.

love how the NFL Live guys didn't know if he'd get into the HOF... :caty:

Yea, Jarvis was a year a head of me. I grew up playing ball with him, he's massive.
Never really figured out why he got booted. It's a shame, could've been a good one. He's not a bad guy, so I was pretty surprised he got in trouble.
He really clued me into just what it takes to be a division one athlete. I was a junior taking calc 1 and he was a senior taking freshman algebra or something like that haha

If I recall what was posted on the site, laptops and sticky fingers were allegedly involved

The only LSU offensive lineman I've gone out of my way to focus on. Watching him pancake opponents 15 yards downfield with Faulk right behind was pure awesomeness.

Would be so awesome if he could be worked into the coaching staff somehow!
LSU already has a "Nasty Streak" coach, Moffitt.
