This fanbase is nowhere near representative of this team. If that were true, LSU would be 0-12.

I actually agree with you...this year when the fans are underwhelmed with the opponent, the team seems to also be...when we are fired up about the upcoming game, the team also is...not really a correlation, but the situation at the time affects both groups similarly...

honestly, it is so damn long between end of season and the national championship game, throw in the holidays and some fans do drift away...they will be back as the holidays end and the game draws near....

also, I am a little pissed that I have to spend nearly 3K if I want to attend the game...I haven't decided to do that just yet...

Tiger Authority,

Obviously you have this TIGER team confused with the University of Georgia. Are you sure you're not a UGA fan lurking about?

If you were here in 2007 it was the samething. Everyone gets excited when the game is announced. A week later a lull for 3 or 4 weeks, then after the new year, refocused.

I admit I'm not focused on the game. In the past for bowls, I enjoyed interacting w/ opposing fans of teams which LSU hadn't played in > a decade like TX A&M last season, Penn St. in '09, OH St. in '07 & Texas in '02 or had never played before like Iowa in '04 or Illinois in '01. I had my fill of hearing from the Gumps for 2 weeks earlier this season. I'm tired hearing/reading their same redundant mantra of "We lost b/c of... (insert slight deficiency on their part here) not b/c LSU did anything superior."

This is a stupid thread. The fans have absolutely no effect on the games outside of the dome. Give me a break
