I think we are dealing the reality, and that reality is a rematch is likely. If not, we deal with what we have. I don't care who LSU plays

If you're referring to me, please quote my post precisely. That's not what I said.

One more time, my arguments are only two:

1) The purpose of the BCS is to produce a national champion by pitting the top two ranked teams against each other (that does not necessarily equate to the two "best" teams according to some sort of collective wisdom . . . it does, in all likelihood mean the two most "deserving" teams).

2. Most of rest of the country would rather see a BCSCG game other than LSU vs. Alabama.

I don't care who LSU plays. If people want the best two teams, it's obviously LSU vs Bama. If they don't like it decided through rankings, then support a playoff.

Anyone bitching is misguided if they don't support a systematic change in the way teams are ranked in the BCS system.

LSU already beat them less than a month ago. They're eliminated, imo.

I don't think a rematch would be bad if there was even a +1. but with just two teams don't think it's right.
That being said Bama is going down again

Links?

Even if true, tell "the rest of America" to blame the system and support competitive teams. LSU and Bama are clearly the best two teams.

I agree. That doesn't mean there should be a rematch. If you think so, why?

We simply disagree on the purpose of the BCS. End the end, I think the movers and shakers of the BCS may very well agree with me. But there's merit to both opinions.

They are ranked first and second in the BCS? The system we have? You do understand this is how the system works, right?

The OP should tell his university president to support a playoff system if he dislikes the current one.

Even if this assumption is correct (which we don't all necessarily agree with), this has nothing to do with who the system is charged with sending to the NCG).

What do you believe the purpose of the BCS should be? Best color combinations? Largest markets? It's the system we have, we don't have much of a choice.

Recently Les Miles has changed tunes and become a hypocrite in saying he would welcome facing Bama again for the title in a rematch. He has lost a lot of respect from many who remember him saying that maxim but now being a hypocrite...

What a DUMB arse !!

Do ou think that pussy Kelly would say no I dont want to play LSU again. NO he would say hell yea.

Someone stuck a mic in front of Les and said how would you feel about playing Bama again. If someone would have asked him how he would feel about playing the quacks again he would have said the same thing. What would you expect him to say. No that game was too close I dont want to.

As for everyone boycotting the game who gives a shite. I will be watching it in the DOME with about 80K other people. Do you think any of us give a shite who watches it on TV??

Like I said DUMB arse !!

You are way off base in your recollection of the events that happened in 2007. WVU and Mizzou lost leaving a one loss OSU team as number one and a group of two loss teams to pick from to play for the title. LSU had just beaten UT in the SEC championship. 10-2 UGa coach Mark Richt was immediately on ESPN trying to worm his team into the title game agaainst OSU. CLM was correct in asserting that LSU should be in the game over a team from the same conferrence that didn't win its division. This is different than filling both spots with teams from the same conferrence. In that case LSU was more deserving over Georgia because we were conferrence champs. CLM and LSU is hononred to be in the title game thus honored to play whomever they put against us. It is something LSU has no say so in. So it would be classless for LSU and CLM to complain about what opponent we are matched up against.

First of all...bull crap that no one else in the country will watch. The whole country watches when it's two east coast teams in the Superbowl or two Missouri teams in the World Series. So, your logic/scare tactic is severely flawed.

Secondly, LSU did what they could to ensure there would NOT be two SEC West teams in the NC game...they beat every one of them they played. So, if you have any issues with there being a rematch, I strongly suggest you start writing to all the human components of the BCS system & tell them how wrong they are. As for the 2011 LSU Tigers, they will continue to do what they've been doing all year against many obstacles and in the face of many critics...WIN!!
