Read everything you posted. You're still a rantard for calling Gibbs a chump for striking out late in the game. If you don't like, stop posting stupid shite about the best catcher LSU's ever had.

now I've also got to label you a chump. Reading comprehension is obviously not your strong suit.
Don't fret - it doesn't last.

First of all thank PM for making a great switch last year that bolted the team to the NC, also if you know anything about sports in general especially baseball luck has alot to do with some of the outcomes, so shut the frick up

TB69, do you really think that it was poor coaching, really. Was it poor coaching last week when we won the SEC tourny, was it poor coaching to win enough games to make it to the NCAA tourny in the first place. Was it poor coaching that has won 3 sec tourny championships in a row, was it poor coaching that won a national championship for you last year, was it poor coaching that led LSU to a 23 game winning streak 2 yrs ago,was it poor coaching that won the sec regular season last year, was it poor coaching to have arecord of 11-1 in the SEC tourny. I sure hope all of PAUL MANARI's poor coaching keeps up, we'll probably get real lucky and win another national title. What this coach has done in 3+ years is nothing short of fantastic. Go have another drink until your really drunk cause we all know that's when we're smart enough to solve all the worlds problems.

That's never good enough for the negatigers. If we don't win by 5 or more runs, we are terrible. They never want to accept that EVERY team gets lucky...it's part of the game!! But the fact that we were in a position to win obviously speaks a lot about this team, more than simply luck...

I wouldn't presume to know the circumstances behind PM's decisions, who's tweaked, who didn't travel well, how much he wanted to reserve some of the pitching staff for the next game, etc.

The team is playing pretty well at this point, and it is the coach who got the team to where it is, especially after a long losing streak.

Hats off to PM.

Holy crap what a tough crowd. In hindsight the thread should have been titled Tigers pull one out the coachs arse. We ,the fans, got lucky the kids could overcome some poor pitching and yes I still believe bad moves by the coach. For the record,I think Mainieri is a good coach, never said he wasn't. Just that he made some bad moves in the game. I understand WHY he tried to milk his pitching but it sure back fired. And in the immortal words of forrest gump, that's all I have to say about that.

That's funny. I thought Ross and Bertuccini were left in just long enough to win the game. Same with Gaudet's bunts, they were just enough to win. Dishon and Watkins were also in the game just long enough to win. Maybe I missed the ending, did they lose?

I don't know about lucky. LSU won that game because they didn't cave in the very end, and refused to give up. That's the mark of winners. It may not be the way we would like for it to pan out, but it's still the mark of winners.

NOW, that being said, I really don't get the Gaudet bunting twice thing, especially the last time. I can understand trying it once, but at the moment he tried it the second time, it just wasn't the time for it.
