I would bet that GC was the one that insisted on sending JL out for the bailouts last year.

I agree. It was almost like there was something personal with Miles and Lee.

After the SECCG and BCSNCG I would have to agree. 6-1/2 weeks later I still can't believe he didn't give JL a shot to save the day.

I'm over it...I still hate Alabama & Nick Saban. That's all that matters now.

My opinion on the JJ/JL period at lsu is that both of them should have played during games. I'll never understand why Miles decided to go with one over the other.

If he was going to play anyone but JJ, Mett would have been worth a shot. He wasn't going to play Lee, regardless of circumstance.

I'm just talking about overall since JJ came back. The team worked at it's best with both qbs getting in [Florida & Auburn games]

I just don't understand how a team can have so much talent but be hamstrung by one position. JL played great until the bama game. He wasn't flashy but he ran the offense with poise and passed effectively when needed. JJ played well at first but once we played solid defenses(Ga and Bama) he sh+t the pot. I am so glad both are gone.

Fans talk about all the pressure mett has but IMO he should have less pressure on him b/c if he just plays decent we are better off.

All JJ's throws were held onto or overthrown.

I'm hoping Mett brings us back to the Jamarcus days of LSU football. Big arm & Big play offense.

+100000000

Both JL/JJ were forced to play before they were mentally mature enough; JL in '08 as a RS Fr in a "defend the NC" context and JJ in '09 in a "don't repeat JL's '08 mistakes" context.

JL did fine in '08 as a RS Fr provided: a) Hatch was available to spell him and b) he didn't have to feel like he had to make something happen every play because of the Malleveto that was happening on D.

You do that and pleaseeeee...come up with something more "shot" worthy than, he hasn't been successful vs Bama.

but fail to mention JJ ever struggling.

I have said more than once that the whole free world knows that LSU has had limited/inconsistent QB play for the better part of 3 years...who do think has our QB for most of that time?

You need to get over it....both guys are gone.

Mett is the LSU QB!

The Rant is practicing good conservation. Like a plains Indian tribe with a buffalo kill, the Rant uses every part of a long dead "QB controversy" . And they can live off of it for many weeks after it's life is officially over.

Its not the QB controversy that concerns me we all should be past that. I like clm but still have problems with.

Our running game was clicking we were beating teams by 14 pts or more and still no mett or jj/jl (whoever did not start).

Giving them meaningful snaps and passing the ball could only help our QB's and young receivers. I think it hurt us recruiting also esp. for receivers.
