I would pretty much bet the farm on this. For the poster that said it took him too long to realize his strategy (JJ or death) wasn't working, I doubt he still realizes that. If JJ was eligible again next season, we would see more of the same. For reasons unknown to many LSU fans and even moreso, the rest of the country, he was determined to go all in with JJ. For three years. At least in 2010, he sent JL in to bail his arse out, this season, in spite of all the early success JL had, nope. For all that Crowton was vilified (some richly deserved), from listening to Daddy Lee, I would bet that GC was the one that insisted on sending JL out for the bailouts last year.

Is JJ stupid?
This post begs an automatic 'YES'! He was clueless as a QB and made boneheaded decisions in every game that he played in. He had absolutely NO sense of clock-management and always ALWAYS looked confused and lost when reading defenses.
He probably set a record at LSU for delay of game penalties due to his limited grasp of the game and how it is supposed to flow.
This guy should NEVER taken a snap at LSU. He would have been much more suited to play tight end or blocking fullback. He always looked clueless and confused in big games.
The worst part of his behavior and substandard play at LSU was his almost automatic propensity to quickly blame a broken or failed play on other players for HIS frick-up. He was playing for the cameras...not the Tigahs.
This arrogant thug was the WORST quarterback ever to play at LSU and history will remember him exactly that way.
I really don't blame him for his limited intellectual capacity or his boneheadeed decisions...he just doesn't know any better.
Hopefully, one of the incoming QBs will redeem the position for LSU...with an understanding of the game and exhibit ability and integrity. Hopefully the starter next year will remember that he is a team leader and command respect from his team and fans, rather than sneak out after curfew and put them in jeopardy due to his thuggish mentality.
LSU doesn't need another fricking Prima-Donna with a chip on his shoulder that was put there by his own stupidity.
He took unnecessary sacks multiple times during his career that lost multiple yards every time that he folded up like a wet sack or ran OOB 15 yards behind the LOS.
Sorry, but his ineptedness while playing QB at LSU is not out-shined by a few fair passes that the receivers had to break stride and slow down to catch....multiple times against inferior teams. And a few runs that he, surprisingly, was able to see and take advantage of.
He IS an athlete and possibly could have played well at another position and even excelled.
But he absolutely sucked arse as a QB

What segment is that?
Ummm. The bitter, agenda-driven segment. I mean, what's unclear? The people that are Miles-haters that rise to surface each time there is a questionable decision or we experience any degree of failure and begin their incessant complaining. They all mysteriously disappear during all our periods of success. They have never agreed with the Miles hire and simply never will. No amount of success will win them over. That segment.

13-1 is nice and everything but who is really going to be happy with that if you lose the last one?
Nice???

Try elite.
One can, if they have any common sense, be disappointed we didn't win the NC/played poorly in that game, but be "happy" we were fortunate enough to beat Arkansas and Georgia to even get to the NCG.

And I will never understand how anyone could watch 4 years of LSU vs. Bama and NOT understand the LSU coaching staff thought process.

JJ had to be the QB, there was no one else except JL. Both had their shot and Miles picked JJ for the NCH game. Miles and coaches did not recruit a better QB.

Agreed. God help us when 13-1 is "nice and everything".

This is the rant. If we had played JL and still lost people would have been bitching about not playing Mett.

I believe the CBS station in BR, ch. 7 cable, has it up in their webpage.

New to the Rant?
If LSU had won 35-0, the usual suspects would be bitching because the score wasn't 36-0.

Would you be happy with that if you were on the team? I wouldn't but I am not on the team so it really doesn't bother me. LSU was better than UA and UGA they should have won those games. Only reason UGA was in doubt was because of the QB play.

And after watching JJ play 3 years and some change I don't see how you will never understand how anyone couldn't understand the LSU coaching staff thought process but I know you are a big JJ homer.

JL can play QB on my LSU team anytime and if JJ hadn't taken a snap for LSU all season it would have been no skin off my nose. So, take that BS and stick it where the sun don't shine.

It's amusing you are here with no BCSNCGs or BCS bowl wins for your team telling us what LSU fans/players should or shouldn't be "happy" bout.

Keep lying to yourself. You are always in the JJ threads taking up for him and taking shots at Lee.

Who is my team? I asked you a question, how is that telling LSU fans they shouldn't be happy with the 2011 season?

Then, it should be easy for you to point out all these "shots at Lee" I have taken...right.

Ok, just point out a few and remember...we talking "shots"

Are these not your words:
"13-1 is nice and everything but who is really going to be happy with that if you lose the last one?"

I'm at work if a get a chance to go through your posts I will but just in this thread you were quick to say how poorly he played against Bama all 4 years but fail to mention JJ ever struggling. Everyone knows you are biased I can't believe you are even trying to act like you are not.

Those are my words but that doesn't exactly say LSU fans shouldn't be happy. They can be happy all they want I don't care but I wouldn't be.

After the SECCG and BCSNCG I would have to agree. 6-1/2 weeks later I still can't believe he didn't give JL a shot to save the day.

I changed it to them because I purchased reserves for them to make the BCS game. I guess you could classify me as a fan of theirs at the time but only for obvious reasons.
