should Les be pro active for at least this game? should he sit people who are taunting and talking? We all know that the refs in this game will be looking at any reason to throw a flag on the Tigers. If LSU is going to lose this game, it will because of late hits and other penalty calls. The refs don't like this and on this big a stage they will try to establish control. So should Les harness the mouth of some of our players?

You can only control emotions in a game like this so much. Hopefully our guys are smart, hopefully the refs don't try to dictate the outcome, and hopefully we win.

I would really hope that our players are smart enough and already coached up well enough to know not to make those mistakes. That being said, I think that Les will stress to be smart but to play with intensity. It's not gonna be a problem.

I think the guys should keep playing how they've been playing. This will be a very physical, high emotional game on both sides. If things are getting out of hand, the refs will control things early. I say up to that point, let them play.

He needs to be drilling it into their heads last week and this next week that taunting and excessive celebration or late hits in or out of bounds can lose this game for LSU. The Bama payroll refs will absolutely be looking for any excuse to let their flags fly against the Tigers next week.

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't then been exactly ONE penalty for taunting so far this year?

Are you suggesting that Les sits Crocodile Puntee?

No! But people are mistaken if they think that the refs in this game are going to allow some of this in your face talking and taunting. This is Alabama. And I am not talking about sitting a player before the game starts. I am talking about warning them to keep the chatter down. If someone cost LSU a first down or gives Alabama a first down because they can't control themselves. Sit them for a while. Not the whole game. These refs have a history of throwing flags at teams on Alabamas home field.

So you can't play with emotion, without running your mouth? I don't believe that. there is a time and a place. And on Alabamas' field aint no place to be doing it. The players are going to be jacked. Let their play on the field do the talking.

No. It's all a part of the swagger of this team. It gets inside the other team's head.

Beating the other team is one thing. But if you are beating the other team and telling them all about it, they tend to get a LOT more frustrated. This causes them to make even more mistakes.

You'd think at that level it wouldn't bother players, but trust me, it still gets to them.

It's really demoralizing to not only be getting beat, but to have somebody trash talking about it to you.

I'm all for it.

Thats the emotion that they play with, the fire the passion to blow a running back up then stand over him and tell him these hits are gonna be coming all day!!!! Thats the kinda defense i love So please stop with all this pussification of america shite please this is football not ice skating!! With that.

I didn't say that I was against it. Alabama is the least penalized team in the country on their home field and the refs are mostly homies who might take exception. You cannot gives these guys an inch because they will take a mile. We will see how much this will effect the game.

No, we don't all know this. The refs do make bad call, but it's riduculous to believe the refs are out to "get" LSU. The crowd can and does become an intimidation factor for the officials and some calls can at times sway toward the home crowd because of that factor, but in most all instances, the officials do not cheat or go against a specific team. They sometimes make bad calls and most of the calls that draws complaints are made as split second decisions, but to say they outright cheat is ludicrous.

With all that being said, they screwed up two years ago on the interception by PP7 in Bama. There's always exceptions. And to be honest, I have seen some replays that have gone our way that were questionable.

So let's just go in and win the game.
