Was at the 2000 Tenn, 2003 UGA, 2007 Fla and this years Bama game had all of those beat. When Landry scored that touchdown I can't even describe what that was just pure chaos at its perfection.

While I agree that this game atmosphere will stick with me forever as one of the greatest, it can't be the top.
I left with a disappointing feeling whereas with the others it was a win.
UF '97
UF '07
UGA '03-best day game
Bama '12
Auburn '95

Yes. you have a really good point. It's rather confusing. For me, it had a LOT to do with the whole gameday experience as I suspect it was for a lot of others.

1971 Notre Dame. While the referee was standing by the football waiting to blow the whistle for the opening kickoff the LSU student ran across the field and and planted an LSU flag right next to the football. TS erupted!! It was INSANE in TS. Much like when the USC-Stanford score was announced in '07.
You know, I was there and somehow missed this. Must've been pouring a drink.

when people bitch about the ending, i understand. but for how i felt during the entire second half... it has to be my favorite game of all time. it was surreal and i felt like everyone near me was family, hugging random strangers and going absolutely nuts

So the greatest game in Tiger Stadium history was a loss to your biggest rival? Got it.

I was at the 1971 ND game...but I don't remember the flag plant.
What I do remember...the Irish having 1st and goal at the one...and the Tiger defense stopping them on 4 straight plays! That was awesome.
Last Saturday night is what has earned Tiger Stadium the reputation it has. It was insane...all except the last 2 minutes. But was the greatest game I've seen in Tiger Stadium!

I'm sure many would have 1997 Florida up there, too
