Bama would not have beaten Fla yesterday with JJ or JL at QB. Miles would have done better with Perriloux at QB of course, you piccolo players don't understand the experience factor needed at the QB position.

Yep because Bama's QB has a ton of experience coming into this year. He had already started how many games on the college level?

McElroy is a 4th yr Jr who has maturity and the ability to read defenses, everything JJ isn't at this point.
When you played, did your team win with a soph QB?

actually what i saw yesterday was lsu 03, and the sec championship game was eerily similar to the lsu vs georgia game sec championship back then. saban does have a good blueprint for success in college football.

Has $aban won a championship or anything of significance with "HIS" players yet? Just wondering. I know in '03 he won the BCS National Championship with DiNardo's leftovers and now he's won an SEC Championship with Shula's leftovers. So has he really ever won anything with his own recruits? Hmmmmm.....
(que the "yeah but Les Miles didn't do this or didn't do that blah blah blah idiots in 3..2..1)

Mark Ingram, a Saban recruit, scored 3 of our 4 touchdowns last night.

What is the signature (identity) of a Les Miles coached team?

Now, do the same exercise for a Saban coached team and give me the answer.

This:

The good thing is that in these tough economic times, it is a lot cheaper to house and feed a meerkat than it is a Tiger.

LSU 2003/BAMA2009
young breakout running back
huge holes created by o-line
Smart QB play
offense that can sustain drives and eat clock
Excellent play by the secondary and d-line
domination on both sides of the ball

Georgia 2003/FLA2009
Frustrated opposing coach and players
Ineffective QB
Ineffective run game
Acceptance of domination

This summary says it all. It's not about Saban, I want a damn coach that takes the talent and develops that talent to it's
fullest potential. You do that then you do the above to your opponents. Whatever coach out there that can do this, get his arse to Baton Rouge!!!!!!!

Great question. So much of the criticism lobbed at Les is childish. Every coach has their share of "oops." But this is legit.

Les needs to cast some guiding, overarching vision of what LSU football is going to be and which stands-out on Saturdays. In light of the last two seasons, I'm not sure what to make of his first three seasons. The two are so divergent.

We don't play aggressive on O. We don't play aggressive on D. Rarely do we seem to have a solid game plan or are well-prepared.
