Slaughter was a really high chance to land at LSU. What happens with TOPs could determine whether or not he goes MLB or not.

Slaughter can flat out rake. He's the top prospect in the state according to PBR for a reason.

The fact that people complain about Robertson at short shows how spoiled we have been there during the whole CPM era. From Hollander to Lemahieu to Nola to Bregman. Robertson is an above average shortstop and a pretty good lead off hitter. He gets on base in the weirdest ways but I don't care as a lead off I just want you on base. He is going to make errors that is the nature of the position. You get more balls hit to you so you are going to make errors.

Went to the game Sunday, saw Trey Lawson at 3rd in the 9th. What is the deal with him? I know PM was extremely high on him at SS. I missed some of the early season games but I'm thinking he made some errors. Is that it? Can he hit?

Its Trey Dawson and he CAN NOT/ HAS NOT hit. His glove is not the problem

Dawson has 10 AB's and 7 K's. He has nearly 10% of the team's K's.

And he has created 11 outs in his 10 official AB's. In one at-bat he grounded into a double play.

I'm not down on him, he just needs some more batting reps in BP and he will be fine eventually, IMO.

LSU has been inhuman the past 5-6 seasons at short. I dont see another in his place. He is probably our best option at short.

Just to make it clear, i was questioning him at short, not his bat. I am not advocating a change yet, but think its close to happening with one or two more errors this week

I understand that but his bat isn't good enough to DH and Freeman at second should not be changed. He is your best option at short right now. Dawson is probably a better fielder but he is a guaranteed out at the plate.

Just posting to bask in the fact that posters now claim KRob needs to stay in, not for his glove, but for his bat.

Just to be clear I think he should stay in because of both of them together. If he had one without the other then I would say get him out. He isn't great at either but he is above average at both.

You done did it now...

I would call this "great" at leadoff:

Leads team in walks and total free passes
Tied for lead in doubles
2nd in RBI
2nd in Runs scored
3rd in OBP among starters
Batting 0.391 w RISP
