Let’s not forget he also lost to FSU that same year on a “neutral field.” Only to reel off multiple National Championships from that point forward.

Just thought that bit of information was more relevant and points to a very bright future. Also great seeing Brian bitch out those reporters…very Saban-esque!

What about Saban's 2000 loss to UAB? At the time LSU fans regarded the Saban hire as a mistake. He made his bones the very next week with a shocking OT upset of Tennessee!

I think Kelly will right the ship. It’s just frustrating right now getting shite on by the rest SEC and national media. Especially the national media

In what way was he owned? He was the unquestioned alpha in the room.

No he didn’t. If that’s how you viewed it, you are stuck in some pretty thick stupid.

why? the days of Switzer, Knight, Paterno are gone, and I agree with her, win some games and we'll put up with prima donna bs, until then, you're on double secret probation, at $10mil/yr. of course

Are you saying that the reeling off of multiple championships was somehow positively related to Bama’s FSU loss and that because we also lost to FSU we have a bright future ahead?

Weird.

I think Kelly will do great, but I’m not sure this is predictive.

Are you daft or just being difficult?

Just being difficult. But that’s what the OP implied:

Is there a point you wish to make because I do not see it.

Shows how much smarter the Bama administration is. They scheduled a neutral on September 29th. After both teams had multiple games under their belts. A true level playing field.

Had LSU and FSU both played 2 OOC games and 1 conference game each I feel good about our chances. Doesn’t matter. We lost.

It’s probably more relevant, but it doesn’t point to a very bright future. In fact it doesn’t point anywhere. That FSU team also beat NC State, coached by Tim O’Brien, who went on to do nothing.

How many times are people going to compare any coach to Saban? Honestly why do they do this?

Saban is a freak. One of a kind. Will never see anything remotely close to what he has done and continues to do. Plain and simple. Just stop it people. Just because a coach is good doesn’t mean they’re compared to Saban. Just let them be good in their own way.

I've seen it before, so why wouldn't I see it again? But generally, I agree with you; it is unfair to compare folks to Saban, unless their name is Paul "Bear" Bryant.

Hmm. Fair point based on his words.
