Aranda’s defense gave up 6 points in the 2nd half.

People act like he blew a 24 point lead

We gave up 20 points.

1 drive they went 40 yards because we couldn’t move the ball and let them trade punts down the field.

1 drive White was out and we had Baskerville and Queen playing LB.

And even then, I think The defense did enough.

The offense sucked.

LSU got its butt kicked. I was surprised how awful the O-line was. Wait till UGA and Bama come calling. It’s going to be ugly. At least we’ll be bowl eligible after we beat Rice. Woohoo!

“LSU’s offense”

Committed 3 t/o which was a pretty big factor in the game.

Both sides of the ball contributed to this L.

WE HAVE NO PLAYMAKERS on offense

Disagree there.

The problem is we don't have a HR hotter at RB.

We also can't seem to figure out how to get our ERs the ball in space while they are still moving. Way too few yards after the catch.

The Giles experiment needs to end. He's a great guy, but the position he plays is for playmakers. We don't need a guy who averages 2 yards per catch. Time for Chase to get his chance.

One of LSUs strengths if man-to-man coverage which makes the defense susceptible to the option. We just lost the guessing game some.

LSU's offense and Ensminger did their part, Aranda didn't.

I have no idea how someone could come to this conclusion after watching that game.

None.

I'm not going to say Aranda deserves zero blame but when the hell is the offense ever going to bail his unit out?

This shite is unfair and I'd imagine he's getting pretty fed up about being blamed when the offense never pulls their weight.

Joe Barrow (LSU offense) turned the ball over 3 times yesterday---not many teams can overcome that on the road.

For sone reason we demand and expect pure, utter perfection of our defense. But one or two good drives and 3 turnovers from our offense is “doing their part”.

Yeah, well said - that just about sums it up.

Our defensive players were in the right place most of the time but we just couldn't make the tackles. Their runner would drag our guys 2...3...4 yards before going down.

It was almost a carbon copy of the Auburn game. Defense got gassed in the second quarter and we go from leading to trailing going into the half. They had 1 big play to start the 3rd, then the D stood tall all the way until they had that TD drive.

We’ve struggled against scatback type backs, like the kid from Ole Miss last week. LBs overpursued and DBs took bad angles, and the tackling was poor. Those are things that can be corrected. Lots of truths will be told tomorrow.

Joe was also sacked 5 times and snuffed many other times. OL had a hard time.

How many starters on offense would get drafted? Maybe Lewis at this point.

We have much more talent on defense than we do on offense and it showed yesterday on our last 2 drives.

It’s really not fair to expect the Defense and Aranda to be perfect every week.

Aranda and the defense has an off day but still only gave up 20 points.

At some point Ensminger and the offense have to be able to when a game when the defense isn’t at their best.

Aranda has proven he can coach defense. Orgeron and Ensminger get have proven to be bad at their jobs.

Arandas defense, as sub par as it was, gave up 20 points. 6 in the second half.

6 points.

Our offense looked just like it has all year. Period. It is just blah.
That's all fine and dandy. But like the OP stated, the offense gave us a 19-14 lead midway through the 4th quarter. At that point, it's on the defense to hold.

Same thing happened the end of the 1st half. We had a 10-7 lead with what, 4 minutes to go? If the defense is as incredible as people tout it to be, it has to hold.

That's the difference between winning this game 20-7, and losing the way we did.

19 points is not good enough to win an SEC road game most times.

Fricking Bama couldn't hold Arkansas to 19 points. You guys better wake up to reality. This offense needs to do a lot better or we're in trouble.
